It's time to play it straight. 'Evolving' pets really tend to mean 'metamorphosing' pets.
What is evolution? It is speciation due to unforeseen mutations that add up... eventually.
The goal of Evolution is to basically 'breed' your own species.
The pets are made (Badly) in MS. Paint. The pets are only single-stage. However, breeding them together make for a fabulous variety of forms. Breeding costs 100 gold. It's only expensive to prevent abuse by mass breeding. Pets from flatsales cost 50 gold each, while pets 'abadoned' after breeding are 100 G.
There is always a maximum of 12 'bred' pets in the bred section, with the twelve newest ones available.
Flatsales are random, so check if there is a new pet whenever you can! When buying a flatsale pet, please post which pet you want in the thread, then restate the page number of the order and which pet you want in the donation.
Chromosomes in breeding may also be unlocked randomly or with potions used during breeding. Although, potions do not always have consistent effects. (A litter of bunny-like things... can have Dinosaur legs, cat legs, horse legs and insect legs when using an LL potion.)
How breeding works:
Each breeding pair produces 4 offspring. The owner of the two bred pets chooses one to keep. However, the pets used for breeding are lost forever (Though may be produced again through extensive breeding.). The remaining three are placed in the 'bred' sale pets. The owner of the two pets being bred must pay 100 G.
For breeding between two different owners, Each owner chooses one and the remaining two pets are placed for sale. Like for single-owner breeding, the pets used are lost forever (Though, may be produced again through extensive breeding.) The total cost is 200 G, which may be split up between the two parties.
For breeding to 'give' one to a user that doesn't have one, each owner chooses one, then the one being given to chooses one out of the remaining two. The unwanted pet goes to the Bred page. Alternatively, the same method can be used to give to TWO users at once, leaving no pets for the bred section. A 3 way costs 300 gold that may be divided between the involved parties, and 400 for the 4way which may be split up between 4 parties.
5 and up ways are impossible.
How to buy:
Leave a note on the thread physically describing (The ball with ears, the vertical rabbit, for example) the pet that you want.
Check that nobody else beat you to it.
Leave a note in the DONATION physically describing the pet that you want and the page number of your order.
Send the Donation.
