true.. though i soppose you could always pick the ones you like best (or all for that matter) and play darts to pick em *snort* thats what i used to do for which assignments to tackle first if i disliked them all... but then again might have been me trying to play and avoid working on said projects ^^;; *comforts tooaya* but on another side you could close it on thursday, take your vacation with parents and think about which you like there, and tell us when you get back ^^?

  History: During the late warring states period, woodcutter He Bian dreamt of a rock in his family property that was bathed in a golden light. He took to rock to see the Marquis of Chu, and upon cutting open the rock they found an amazing piece of jade, named He Shi Bi (He family jade). This jade was so flawless that it was considered to be priceless. It was so coveted that when the emissary from the state of Zhao saw it, they stole it and took it to Zhao. News spread and the King of Qin also wanted the Jade, he made numerous attempts, in one of which he pretended to trade 30 cities for the jade. When He finally obtained the jade upon uniting China, he ordered that it be carved and made into the imperial seal. When the Qin Dynasty fell apart, the seal was surrendered to its successor, the Han Dynasty. The seal survived despite the rise and fall of Emperors, the many wars and the migration of the capital city. It symbolised the mandate of heaven that granted the Emperor the right to rule.
  
  It was lost during the fading years of the Later Han dynasty, a time where the emperor has lost all his power. As eunuchs corrupted the court and warlords sprang up all over China to fight for power. The tyrant Dong Zhou seized the imperial city of Luoyang. He terrorised the citizens, killed and robbed the wealthy, and encouraged his soldiers to kill the husbands of women and take the girls for themselves. Thus the anti-Dong Zhou coalition was formed. The warlords joined together to expel Dong Zhou. When they finally did, Dong Zhou fled to the city of Changan, but not before burning Luoyang into the ground, and forcing all its citizens to move to Changan. A quarter of the city was killed in those incidents. When the anti-Dong Zhou coalition entered Luoyang, everything was destroyed, all the documents were burnt, and anything valuable had been taken, except for one, the imperial seal was found in a well tied to a dead woman's waist.
  
  The Seal was the source of much struggle during the rest of the Three Kingdoms period, and passed through the Wei Dynasty, Jin Dynasty, Sixteen Kingdoms period, Sui Dynasty and Tang Dynasty, but was lost to history in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period (AD907-960).

  Appearance: A petite young women aged 28, she looks like the typical upper class lady, with long black hair and dark brown eyes, she has a pleasing appearance. Her hair is usually tied up into buns and adorned with gold ornaments. She wears the traditional hanfu of heavy silk dyed in colourful tones.
  
  Personality: Being a descendent of Confucius, Jingling believing deeply in the values of loyalty and filial piety, she has a strong mind of what is right or wrong, and is a very determined young woman. However most of the time she is upbeat and cheerful, and tries to make the most of any situation.
  
  Relationship: Xiao Ming came from a respected scholarly family. Her father served the Emperor of Han as the minister of ceremonies. Due to her father's position, she entered the imperial harem at 14, and soon became one of the Emperor's favourite concubines. During Dong Zhou's stay at Luoyang, her father was murdered and her family's assets taken by the tyrant. When the Emperor was forced to flee Luoyang with Dong Zhou, he did not want the imperial seal to fall into Dong Zhou's hands. On seeing that Xiao Ming was determined to stay in Luoyang and not flee, he gave the seal to her for safekeeping. But Dong Zhou did something unexpected and set the city on fire before he left, and Xiao Ming was trapped in the burning palace, wanting to protect the seal, and not having anywhere to go. She hid the seal and herself in the well, but the smoke from the fire suffocated her there.

How: Elena was getting tired of packing things into boxes, her back was sore from bending over for long periods of time. Moving house is definitely tedious business, but it couldn't be helped, ever since her father's death, life has been tough, but moving into a smaller house will ease the strain on the family. Elena decided to take a break after emptying the last box in the storage room she was currently in. Much to her surprise, the large box was empty, well, empty apart from a small, ugly wooden container, which looked to be slowly rotting.

Curious, she took the small box and attempted to pry it open, the broken wood crumpled easily under her fingers. Brushing the dust aside, some sort of stone carving was revealed, was it jade? It was adorned with an oriental looking dragon and bearing strange inscription under it. Elena has never seen anything like it. Studying it closely, the carved dragon stared at her eerily with its beady eyes, almost as if it was alive...[/list:u:ab38b76c10]
