History:: A Chinese dragon is a snake-like creature normally depicted with four claws. It can control water and weather. It is a historical symbol of the Chinese Emperor and has an aggressive nature.
The dragon most likely evolved from the legend of a carp that wanted to reach the top of a mountain. He was determined and swam upstream. When he made it to the top, he jumped the “Dragon Gate” and became a dragon.
The dragon’s appearance is said to be the trunk of a snake, scales of a carp, face of a camel, talons of eagles, ears of a bull, feet of a tiger, and the eyes of a lobster.
The abilities of a dragon include: forming clouds, turning into fire or water, becoming invisible, glow in the dark, disguising itself as the smallest creature or being, or become the largest thing, such as the universe.
Chinese dragons are connected with the number nine, which is considered very lucky in China. Nine is the number considered for the emperor, so only high ranking officials and the emperor are allowed to wear nine dragons on their robes, yet some of the dragons have to be hidden from sight. Male dragons are depicted with 81 scales (9x9) and females 36 (9x4)
The dragon symbolizes power, excellence, valiancy, boldness, heroism, perseverance, nobility, and divinity.
Many eastern dragons are depicted with a flaming pearl beneath their chin to symbolize wealth, good luck, and prosperity.

Personality:Shen Long can be angered easily, (especially if things do not go her way), has a deep connection to the moon and water, and is very responsible and serious.
Relationship:Shen Long was the daughter of the emperor, (which symbolized as the dragon,) but was shunned because she was accused of showing disrespect to the family name and to the dragon.
Gender:Female
References:How:Emily wandered through the streets, her red hair blowing lightly in the wind as she passed a run-down antique shop. “Wow, what a nice looking place,” she noted happily as she walked inside.
“Hi, I’m looking for something to work as a center piece for my tea set,” Emily said to the brown haired girl upfront. The girl led her to a table covered with vases, pots, and other sorts of pottery.
After a long while of looking through the store, Emily found an intricately decorated blue and white vase. “It’s not the color I was looking for, but it’s just so different than what I’ve seen before.” She couldn’t keep her emerald eyes off of the piece of pottery.
Emily brought it up to the front counter. “That’s a very fine piece of Ming porcelain you’ve got there,” the helper said.
The young girl strolled happily out of the old store, carrying her delicate purchase carefully in her arms. [/list:u:46fec7e0a6]
