Okay so my friends invited me to this early christmas gathering on the 20th.
We decided to each buy a gift around $15 dollars and throw them into a bag, and play secret santa.
The names, though, wasn't given out before hand.
Everyone is just gonna mix the gifts and take a random one.
Since I dont know who's gonna get my gift, I really dont know what to get! ):
A couple of my female friends have decided to get hats, mittens, scarfs, earmuffs, you know...the cliches.
I kinda wanted to be creative, and get something fun~
Any ideas? >___<
p.s.: the item has to be unisex. ):

How about chocolate santas or reindeer?
Or 5$ gift cards to some place or something.

Yeah gift cards are good.
We do something like that every year with my dads side of the,family.. I'm bringing an assortment of loose leaf teas that I got cheap for black Friday and a tea ball.

It's a lot easier to to gift cards I think because the person can choose anything they want and you don't risk the chance of getting the, "Oh...that's nice..." response like when you get something and you absolutely have no use for it and can tell the other person didn't put much thought into it. The gift card gets rid of all of that I think.
I know it's always the thought that counts but you also got to be realistic about it lol.

I don't know how much CDs cost where you live but you could get a music CD if the price is right.

I'm not necessarily suggesting it in this case, but you can give excellent charity gifts for $15-$20. I've given solar stoves to refugees in darfur, school supplies to Afghani girls, etc, all in other people's names.

Giant gummi bear! Wow, I've never seen them in person but I first saw one in the original Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory and I saw where you can order them on line...

My only issue is that my friends are all pretty wealthy, so I feel like a bum getting them cheaper gifts. But I spent a little more this year then I typically do (around 70$). I spent the most on my booh bear though (my boyfriend XD)

I have the same problem @kittykondos. My friends are all wealthy (or I'm just very opposite of well-off, more some of both), but I usually can't afford to get them much of anything. I think last year, I pretty much stuck to gifts from the Dollar Store. This year, I had an influx of birthday money....so it went to presents for friends. I feel kinda bad, because I have all these things I want to make for them but I can't even afford supplies. Then they whine to me all year about how they haven't gotten any presents from me yet. :/
