I think in all the Pokemon games I played, only in Diamond and Platinum was when I choose the water type over the fire type. But that's because I adore Piplup.

Piplup is super cute!
I almost always choose the grass type, I have no idea why.
And then I get frustrated with it and I end up switching to water types.

I tend to go for the fire ones too, but I always seem to choose whichever one is the most difficult for the specific opponents you face in each game. :drool: edit: not on purpose! i just have that kind of luck

And I spend a lot of time *trying* to make a balanced party, but then I get attached to a silly assortment of weirdos that I pick up along the way and wind up horribly odd. :lol:

I always have like, 3 water pokemon, 1 flying pokemon and probably some other ones that suck.
And the one I start with is always like 30 levels higher than the other ones. :drool:

lol, Belly. For a second there, I was going to say you're hardcore. And yeah, I tend to use the odd ones too.

My parties normally go like this: Starter Pokemon: 100, one of the first five I catch (with Platinum and Diamond, it was a Shinx): 100, the rest are odd balls and about 25 to 40 levels lower.
