Want some free? It's going to be easy peasy!

There are multiple ways, so here's how.

1. Give me a song to listen to
=== Tell me a song that means a lot to you and why.

2. Give me a movie to watch
=== Same concept. Tell me what it means to you and why.

3. Tell me a story
=== Happy or sad, it doesn't matter. I do ask that they be real life related and that a life lesson was learned.

Weird ways to get free, right? Well, I've been down in the dumps recently and I'm sort of looking for a pick-me-up. I've come to realize that that the things that have helped me most so far are real life stories that relate to some kind of experience/life lesson.

If you aren't comfortable with any of those options (which I understand by all means), feel free to just chat with me and I'm sure you'll get something. :)

I've been around forever on this site I feel, but I just don't have time anymore and I feel bad keeping all the goodies to myself. So I'm gonna share!

That song sounds so emotional. :( I can't even remember the last time I listened to a foreign song...they're always so pretty though.

Mmm, I wouldn't say quitting..but in a sense it is, yeah. I get on and lurk sometimes but I never post, mostly because I can't keep up with conversations.

Sim! I have not seen you in forever and a day! I am sorry You have been down. I shall post a song for you!

This song is special for many reasons. I loved the game and it had a beautiful story. But Now it means my daughter happy to me. This song is her lullaby. It never fails to calm her down when she is sad or scared. So it now holds a special place with me.

A song?
Simple Plan - Summer Paradise ft. Sean Paul (Official Video) - YouTube
--
I like this song because the tune is a bit catchy and it's very refreshing, it gives me the feeling of happiness every time I play it.
Listening to it makes me want to sing along with it. I also like summer songs..(mehehehe) The first time I heard this song, I thought the title was, "I'll be there in a heartbeat", when I tried looking it up on itunes I can't find a song like that, so I googled it up and found out that the title was really "Summer Paradise". :D
---

Here's another one:
Big City Dreams [OFFICIAL VIDEO] - YouTube
----
This song reminds me of my "big brother" in highschool, though we were not really blood-related, but we treated each other like one. He likes this song very much, eventually, I liked this song's meaningful lyrics and the tune as well... I kinda miss my "big bro" while listening to it a while ago...(sorry for being emotional) :D

For a movie...
Crazy Little Thing Called Love (First Love) Full Movie w/ Eng Sub - YouTube

This movie is "A Crazy Little Thing Called Love"
It's a Thai movie.. It's about an ugly girl who likes a handsome boy...
I personally like this movie because it teaches me many lessons about friendship, love, and relations with other people...
It's very inspiring because in every situation there is hope. Even though, it seems very impossible, still there is a way.
:D

So I don't normally post in this forum, but I felt I could do something...

Lovett----Two Lovers

I recently found a band called Lovett and have been obsessed with all their songs. Some I've been inspired by to write little story clips or miniature stories by, and others are just so unique I love to listen to them if I'm lacking inspiration or need a song to get my mind jumpstarted.

This song is sad, yes, melancholy and so very deep and beautiful I favor it against most of the others on this album. It's got such deep and intricate meanings and can be interpreted in a series of ways, and is one that inspired me to write a little story based specifically on it.

Anyway, I don't necessarily hope to get anything, but it'd certainly be nice... Perhaps I'm here just to let you hear and hope you feel similarly about this particular song...

Although a more upbeat song would be Heart Attack by the same band... Always makes me feel good for an inexplicable reason.

Aww :( I'm sorry you're leaving

Here is a song that usually always puts me in a good mood. The music just gives me this burst of energy and I feel confident. I usually listen to it when I'm working out. If I get tired, I just turn on this song and it helps me push through Fall Out Boy - My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (light em up) . I also really like listening to this one for the same reason Icona Pop - I Love It . My mom and I go crazy dancing when both of these songs come on XD

I also have a story to share with you.
It started just these past few months while I was finishing my first year of college. I got really really sick a week or two before school started. I was throwing up everything I ate or drank, so much so that I had to schedule an emergency appointment with my doctor. They ran some blood tests and gave me a shot for the nausea. They weren't really sure why I was so sick, but my blood tests came back at a dangerously low level. They almost decided to admit me to a hospital for a blood transfusion because it was so low. Ultimately, they decided to start me on a new medicine that would help me keep blood, and send me to a hematologist (blood specialist). Well, the hematologist was so busy that it took forever to get an appointment. In the meantime, I had started my second semester of college taking 14 credit hours. Now, taking that many credit hours can be a challenge in its own right, but to make it worse, I was constantly exhausted because my blood was so low, and I was working a full time job at the same time. I finally got an appointment and had to miss school to go to it. They took 14 vials of blood and ran all sorts of tests. The medicine had worked and my blood had come up a little bit to an 8. Now, my regular blood level is supposed to be a 16, so an 8 is half of what I should be, and it had been even lower. My iron also came back extremely low. The normal iron count is 137, and I was at a whopping 5! They figured out that I can't absorb iron, and talked about an iron transfusion. The specialist ultimately decided that that would be a last resort thing because transfusions could cause complications for someone my age, so she decided to have me take a prenatal vitamin everyday instead. While all of this was going on, I continued with my school work and was doing surprisingly well despite everything. A month after my first appointment, I went back for more blood tests. My levels had improved (my iron had gone up to a 7) and they decided to let me just keep taking the medicine and vitamins. I kept up with all of my school work and sought extra help from my professors when they offered it so I could catch up on anything I had missed. I finished my first year of college with a 4.0 GPA despite all of my medical issues, having a full time job, and constantly being tired! This taught me that if you set your mind on something and really really try and work hard, nothing will stand in your way and you can accomplish anything.
Honestly, I'm still not even sure how I pulled that off. XD

This song means a lot to me because it's about breaking your destiny. I watched the anime series that this song goes with, and it fits the anime very well. Anyway, This song means empowerment to me because no matter what people think I am destined for, I can always break it. ^_^;

Watch Vampire Hunter D (1985 version). Why you may ask, because the main character D kind of has some self-acceptance issues or socializing issues. I related to D because we both are kind of like outcasts. He is half vampire and half human, and I am different myself (racially and other 'differences'). I had some self-acceptance issues but I got past them.

No matter what happens, D is always on the side of justice and doesn't trend towards the evil. Even though he seems creepy, he isn't that bad of a guy.

Here's a quote from the movie:

Quote:
"You've no need to apologize. The way you judge others is of no concern to me. I am what I am regardless of the blood in my veins" - D from Vampire Hunter D
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is good too. ^_^;

I'll miss you Simplicity.

So I am going to give you all three, as I am inspired to do so.

1. Give me a song to listen to

Love Changes Everything By John Barrowman because his voice is like silk and it's the best version of this song I've ever heard. Honestly though you can't go wrong with any song sung by John Barrowman. His voice is amazing as is his stage presence, and if you would like links to youtube videos of his music let me know and I can get them.

2. Give me a movie to watch

Disney is always good but I am assuming you want something specific so I'm going to highly recommend you watch The Great Mouse Detective. It's just a brilliantly done movie. I also highly recommend Disney's Robin Hood.

3. Tell me a story

My story pertains to Robin Hood, the movie I suggested above. Every Friday night when I was growing up we had family movie night. Each of the four of us, my mom, my dad, my brother and I, took turns picking movies to watch. We would pop popcorn and settle in for a movie. When we got Robin Hood on VHS, yes I know I'm dating myself, I picked it. Not just once or twice but every time it was my turn to pick the movie. It never wore out, and I'm honestly surprised it didn't.

I love making people feel better!

My favorite movie when I was little was Charlotte's Web. I still love watching it because I just get so nostalgic, and although it has its sad points, its message is overall very encouraging. It reminds me that it's not how I appear on the outside that counts.

I'll see if I can't think of a song for you later as well. :)

I'm sorry you are leaving, and I wish you the best of luck in whatever lies ahead for you.

One of my favourite movies of all time!

I guess one of my own recent stories will have to do, so I have a friend who I've liked for a while I mean he's just a joy to talk to and we always end up talking real late. I'm graduating high school, so we have our prom coming up and I knew he liked somebody so I wanted to help him ask the girl to prom despite me liking him. So he told me a name, and I know the girl quite well so I was happy to help him. Just a week ago, my friend ran up to me and told me a teacher needed to see my urgently, I followed her thinking nothing of it. She took me into the cafeteria telling me there was someone else she needed to grab as well, when I went in there my friend was standing there with flowers and chocolates and he asked me to prom. I was really surprised because he had told me he liked someone else, but he said it was all to divert me. We aren't dating but hey who knows maybe in the far future because he's going to a university that is literally 5 minutes away from my university! Personally, I don't think I can take a relationship on right now so it's best to wait C:

This sounds fun :D

1) truly, madly, Deeply by One Direction
i love this song so much
it's one of my boyfriend and my favourite songs that absolutely describe us and the kind of love we share :)

2) The Nightmare Before Christmas or Sweeney Todd
both are super amazing movies and have amazing scores
I could watch both forever and never get bored and always sing every single song :D

3) well here's a fun story:
So I stayed up really late last night because I started playing on here then had to get up for work this morning
so I got to work and my boss was still in per pajamas and told me to start on whatever
then she had me call for something and I was on hold for an hour and I kept asking my boss if I could do anything but she kept saying no. So I got paid to sit on hold on the phone for an hour
it was glorious :P
I also get to play with her cat ^_^

or, if you wanted a fictional story:
Once, there was an ugly barnacle
He was so ugly, that everyone died

1) If I die young - by - The Band Perry
If I die young
I like it because it's easy to sing to, can always put you in a good mood, and it just sounds like you can relate to it or at least understand the song. There isn't too many new songs out there with emotion anymore.

2) Forest Gump (The Movie)
I love this movie so much, I am not sure why don't even have the dvd yet, but, I love how he explains about his life to others. As though he is really talking to us and I just love the movie itself. This is one movie I will sit there and watch no matter how much I have seen it and not do anything else until I finish watching the entire thing. (Minus bathroom breaks lol)

I'll recommend a song. "All This and Heaven Too" by Florence and the Machine. This song means a lot to me because I can identify with the narrator about words. It's a little hard to explain, but listen to it. Maybe you've experienced such feelings too. C:
