It's been an interesting day, that's for sure. Starting to get tired and that sucks...work will hopefully be a little busier tomorrow.

Very true, Maiden. A cheering section sure does boost the morale. Hate to say this, but it could be bed time soon. Tomorrow after the gym I should be here, chatting up a storm.

Afternoon everyone. Having a weird day, discovered $220 missing from my checking account, lodged a complaint with my bank and had them block and cancel my atm card. Damn people and their fraudulant ways. Ugh

We could have money missing, and we wouldn't know for a long time.
Hubby doesn't bother to reconcile stuff very often. Maybe every couple of months.

We have had a few cases where the credit card company caught something before we even saw it.

Their programs pick it up if somebody is using your card in ways that you don't normally use it. So we've had a few cases where they caught fraudulent usage and took it off our bill before we even saw it.

Jean, in this case, the bank wouldn't have caught it because the amount is similar to how much I usually withdraw twice in a month. But, I know for a fact that I did not withdraw this $220, since I never even went to the ATM this weekend. *sighs* So I got to cut up my Debit card at work. Love that.

There are some credit card companies that are fantastic about catching things like that. My mom's stopped the card when there was a "purchase" for $1500 in India and my mom hadn't even left the country. The one time she has gone over seas, she notified the credit card company in advance to avoid issues.

Hoping this gets resolved quickly and with very little hassle. Thankfully this doesn't screw me over and prevent me from paying bills.
