I suppose so. Sometimes I can't lie even if I wanted to lie. It's physically impossible for me, haha. And even if I were to lie, I'd end up confessing days later. I'd be a terrible criminal. xD

Yeah, I have a tendency to do that too. Like even if I don't want to tell someone something I end up telling them anyway. >.<

Cute new avi by the way!

Right? Haha.
I can't hold my face when I lie. I tend to do this nervous smile when I'm about to lie or in the middle of trying to lie xD

Thank you! I kind of just threw stuff on 'cause I really wanted to wear the chime dress xD

It's really hard to keep a straight fae isn't it?

I really like her expression for some reason. Even though it's really simple I feel like it turned out really well. Sometimes simple is better...

It is! I just can't do it.

Thank you ^^ I feel like I do better with the more simpler avatars than if I try to do something elaborate.
It's probably why I don't use backgrounds that much. I can't work with them.

I like to work with backgrounds sometimes but I also like to let the avatar stand on it's own. I'm not really sure how I feel about my current avi. I'll probably end up changing her again shortly...

Ugh.
I probably suck so badly at French, as I took it for four years in school then stopped after my second year of high school, so I'm trying to brush up on what I do remember from school and what little I've gathered from my old French worksheets and textbooks.

Here goes:

Erm... J'e m'appelle Ava. Uh... J'adore parler un Français, sauf je parle un peu Français, non bien.

Quote:
Erm... My name is Ava. Uh... I love to speak French, but I speak a little French, not much.
I hope that was right. I'm just guessing.

OMG my thread has life!!! Bienvennue Ava!!!

You did really well for not having used it in years! Here are just a couple of corrections:

Je - no apostrophe. The only time you use j' is if the next word starts with a vowel like j'adore.

parler en français - You speak "in" French, not "a" French.

français - In French languages aren't usually capitalized.

non bien - I think you might be trying to use Spanish rules here like "muy bien" (doesn't speak Spanish so forgive any misspellings >.>). In French we would probably say "pas très bien" meaning ["not very well"].

Comment ça va aujourd'hui ?

Ohhh! Thank you so much, zig. :D
I'm glad it wasn't too bad. I haven't been in French in so long, I honestly miss it, it was one of my favorite subjects. I wish I could learn it better. I'm just a slow learner when it comes to languages.

Er... C'est comme ci, comme ça, et tu? Je suis fatigué.

Perfect! The only thing is that you don't need that "c'est" in the beginning. You can just say "comme ci comme ça". If you're a girl you should also put an "e" on the end of fatigué since French adjectives tend to differ depending on if the noun is male or female. That's one of those tough things that's really different between English and other languages.

Moi aussi je suis un peu fatigué et je commence avoir mal à la tête... Qu'est ce que tu as fait aujourd'hui ?

I'm also a bit tired and I'm starting to get a headache. What did you do today?

Yay! I'm so glad I'm not as terrible at this as I thought I was. :D
I would definitely hope to get better at French. I need more practice.

Aujourd'hui je mange une salad et parler avec ma famille. [They. I can't remember the word for 'they' for the life of me right now] sont extravangante et c'est la mon (ma?) trésor. Et tu?

I totally butchered this!
I realize now that I'll have to go out and buy an English/French dictionary so I can better remember the vocabulary.

Here are the corrections:

Quote:
Aujourd'hui j’ai mangé une salade et j’ai parlé avec ma famille. Ils sont extravagant et c'est ma trésor. Et toi?
The way you phrased it [je mange] is present tense. Doing the past tense is a bit more complicated. I could explain it but it might be easier if you looked at an actual lesson for it. If I find the time that could be a good idea for a lesson I could write up. It's been a while since I released one of those...

They can depend on gender. If it's two girls or more, it will be "elles", for males it is "ils". For a mixture of boys and girls you also use "ils".

Tu vs toi - This is kind of complicated to explain so I'm just going to put this here for you. This explains pretty well without really going super into depth:

grammaire - Difference between

You have no idea how much I appreciate you helping me!
I loved French in school and was really sad when I had to drop out of it, I wish to get better, but first I need to buy that French-English dictionary!

How did your date go?

I'm afraid to even attempt to ask that in French! I'd probably just butcher it haha.

There are also a lot of good online dictionaries out there as well. I used to use this one a lot: English-French Dictionary - WordReference.com

You could say "Il est passé comment, ton rendez-vous ?"
