My daughter lets my granddaughter talk to Alexa...she asks about the weather and asks for her to play music for her so she can dance!

I call mine Echo, and amazingly she doesn't ask me how she can help right now and I'm sitting 2 feet from her. But I thought about calling it computer. Then I can print on pretend I'm Jon Luke Picard, Or at least number one. Then I can yell make it so number one, ooh I could call it number one.

I only use talk-commands for Google on my phone when I have a long question to type that needs to be answered. On my keyboard I can type 90 words a minute; on my phone I slowly peck with one finger. lol So talking can be less hassle. I'm not interested in Alexa or anything like that. I can flip my own light switches and play my own music.

I know they are spies in there, trying to use our information against us...

That's true. My wife's phone has started telling her "Welcome home!" and "Have a good day at work!" just because it knows her routine of going back and forth between our house and her place of business. It's kind of scary.

I honestly have no idea what either of them do. I'm behind in the tech scene so I tend to be a bit in the dark about new things that come out. I also do not have a TV so I don't see TV ads like most other people do so that adds to me being tech dumb.

I prefer to type my queries.
