I'm not sure what it's author is, but it's a damn good book!
The main character of the book is a necromancer.
If you have ever played the role playing game "Vampire the Masquerade",
then you should like this book! I've only gotten through fifty pages, but so far I can hardly pull myself away.

Sounds interesting. I'd like the impression you have of the book after you have finished reading it though. If you say it is still just as good then I may pick it up myself to read as well.

The name of the book is actually Club Vampyre. It's a collection of the first three Anita Blake books by Laurell K. Hamilton.

the first 3 are amoung my favourites since Hamilton seems to enjoy truly killing Blake in the darkest way through the series, poor Anita... (mostly)
