I recently finished reading The Notebook, by Nicholas Sparks.
It was...beautiful. But terribly sad, especially the last chapter.
It could probably make any person emotional.

Has anyone else read this book before?

I read it a few months ago. It was amazing, one of the best books ever. It's so beautiful and well written. It made me cry more than the movie did the first time I watched it, and that's saying something. I could barely finish the last two pages because I was crying so hard.

I'd recommend this book to anyone. I love Nicholas Sparks.

I haven't gotten around to reading that book yet. The movie was great but I'm sure it's not as good as the book. I haven't read a walk to remember yet either. However my friend told me the ending of a walk to remember and it's nothing like the movie. I prefer the ending of the movie a lot more.

oohh, the movie is brilliant. I'd ask to be sure it was the one by confirmation of a part of the movie but I don't want to ruin it or somethingg. xD

I don't understand the hype about the book... Nicholas Sparks wrote the characters so flat, dull and boring. :/
I thought the movie was a ton better than the book.

Just my two cents though ;)

I haven't yet, but based off how amazingly emotional the movie was, I know I'd probably cry from reading it. I might try to one of these days.

I did cry at the end of it---as I do with all his books---but I loved the characters in the movie better. The way he portrayed them was rather dull and uninteresting, but it made me cry anyway.

I read The Notebook, but I haven't seen the movie.

The book, in my opinion was so... blah. It was boring and dull. Pray tell, what compelled you to all cry? P:

  • I've heard of it ; but never bothered to check it out because I'm not interested in romantic novels. Is it really that good?

She keeps recommending it to me but I haven't had the time to read it yet. Someday perhaps.. I've seen the movie..
