Comic book newbie here. Wheres a good place to start reading Deadpool stuff? His character is THE SHIZZ! Reminds me a lot of a couple of other characters, including one of my ORPCs like him! Freakazoid would be the other one (Looneytoons era anyone that remembers them?)

Does he have a stand alone series? I have a feeling he has a couple maybe? When did he first surface as a character, would it be worth starting from there?

You could start with the Secret Invasion Drop Bear: it's listed as volume 1 of a deadpool series, but it could be quite confusing without other knowledge of said invasion. It's part of a larger event in one of the Marvel universes. Otherwise... There's a deadpool run that started in 2012, and the first issue of that is called Dead Presidents.

I think I ended up checking the wiki page about the first appearances of the character and they mentioned his stand alone series and stuff, so I might try to get a hand on some of those possibly.
