i've not been through all the pages of topics so if this has been disscussed then i appologise.

i'm writing about books featuring, or staring animals...

a favourite series of books i read is the Silver Brumby stories about the wild horses in Australia. it follows a horse names Thowra as he grows up, the battles he faces and surviving the hounding from Men who wish to tame him...

it continues through many books following his children and grandchildren. i'm a masive fan of horses which is why i orriginally picked up the books, but they are beautifully written.


another series of books i remember getting from the local library had a similar way of following the growth of the characters through several books was about cats. i cant remember the name of the series though, but it follows a cat as he grows up and decides to leave the house to find his dad, a feral cat called Beau...
he finds him and he is in charge of a large group of feral cats and the tom has to fight to get accepted with them...
i think his mate was called Pinky... but i cant remember...
it was a brilliant series of storys...

so does anyone else have favourits stories about animals?
