League of Legends is a massive multiplayer online battle game.
Unlike most other MMOs it's not an RPG but an arena based fight game.
Most of you probably know DotA. LoL is like that - only better!

I played a lot of DotA back in the day, then HoN while it was in beta.
When Hon came out of beta I didn't feel like paying for it, so I got LoL.
It's a pretty good game. They took out denying and refined a lot of the gameplay mechanics of DotA.

I play as Tristana, Jax and Kog'Maw.

There was an older topic about League of Legends.

I like League. It passes the time.

I play Akali and almost any support you can name.

Hah yes, I am glad they removed denying.
I'm pretty bad at last hitting early game xD
It would be a mess if my opponent denied all the minions.

My favourite champs are Rumble, Nocturne, Sona, Cho and recently Nasus.

I'm still not sure if I like that they took it out.
It's a very important part of early game in DotA and HoN.
On days when I'm feeling lazy, it's great. On days when I really have my game face on, not so much lol.

Oh, I always wondered... are there issues with the US servers?
Because for about 5 months now it has been almost impossible to actually PLAY LoL whenever you wanted.
There are log in queues that let you wait between 20 minutes and two hours on average... and then there are many many issues with the games as well. Some don't start, sometimes the chat doesn't work, sometimes there are many disconnects in a single game, ... it's really annoying.
So now they are dividing the EU servers into West and East.

I know theres no problems like that for Canada servers.
I love LoL. Me and my boys kick freakin' ass ^.^ I'm so happy my boyfriend and my boys got me to play. Me and Miss Fortune, we're like sisters ^.^

Oh well, I really can't wait until they are done fixing the EU servers.
It's really annoying if you have a 3 hours log in queue. D:

I've also picked up Riven and Shyvana.

I play League of Legends because a friend of mine got me to play but we don't play together :s

It's a fun game that was hard to get the hang of at first.

The champions I normally play is Ashe. I used to play as Ryze but I'm a bit better at Ashe. As soon as I figure out my item build for Ashe and finish her rune build I'm going to buy both Miss Fortune and Caitlyn <3

I am officially a fan of Ahri! She is my new favorite champion.

@ Sidhe - I wouldn't recommend buying both Miss Fortune and Caitlyn. They're both expensive ranged AD champions. If you buy them both immediately, you probably won't have the money to experiment with other champions. You don't want to be the person that can only play one role on a team. One day, someone else is going to lock in a ranged AD before you. The last thing you want to do is be the person that locks on a second ranged AD and screw up the team comp.

@ Codette - I hate release weeks. People don't understand the concept of practicing new champions in custom or bot games. And piss me off by instalocking her before me. If they're gonna steal my champion, they could at least do me the favor of not losing me the game with her. /facepalm

@Dystopia: I play better as both Miss Fortune and Caitlyn. Caitlyn especially has a lot of fire power behind her which is why I really want to play her. I end up getting more kills in the beginning than I have as Ashe, or Ryze or even Annie. I might play with Tristiana a bit. When Ahri becomes more of a free to play type character I might try her out a bit. Same with Shyvana.

And I can easily get ip through Dominion or charge riot points :s

@ Sidhe - I didn't say that there was something wrong with ranged ADs. I'm just suggesting that you try out other roles, because your team will not always have a slot open for your favorite or best role. For example, I'm the best with assassins and tanky DPS. But if the team calls for it, I can play AP carry, ranged AD, and support with a fair amount of success.

Buuut. If you have the RP, you can do what you want. I don't have the money to waste on games, so I'm careful with my purchases. Which, speaking of RP purchases. Vayne goes on sale tomorrow for 75% off. Its a really good deal, one of the best ones I've ever seen. And she's one of my favorite ranged ADs. And, I think, that she's stronger than Caitlyn and Miss Fortune. You should check her out if you like ranged ADs.

See yeah I've been playing her in bot games and in-houses with my guy friends. We always do in-houses when someone decides to try a new Champion.

@Dystopia I never said you did. Nowhere in my post did I say that you were dogging anything. I was explaining WHY I want to buy those champions. I have tried out Katarin during the free week. Didn't like her. I played as Orianna. Didn't like her. I'm only buying champions that I have tried out and liked playing as. I'm not going for a specific role. Again I'm just buying the characters that I liked playing as during the free champion roster thing each week.

Anyways I was playing a bot game on my back up account (since my primary is still suspended until tomorrow. It likes suspending me everytime I either leave bot games or go afk for some reason) as Ashe seeing if I can at least try and get her full build in before looking for a new one.

So anyways there was this cocky guy playing as Wukong. Now those of you who have played Ashe probably know that Ashe isn't the best tank in the world to solo queue. (Why was I even trying to solo a lane? The Veigar that was with me moved to bot, Wukong came to top where I was killing creeps trying to lvl. ( I made a mistake early on by hitting tab on accident and almost died when Taric bot was attacking me Q.Q) Wukong tells me that I suck. The thing is that I wasn't feeding at the time, our Volibear was. Sure I was going back from the creeps to behind my own creeps...but that's something you learn in tutorials. Especially going against turrets. So I reminded him that it's a bot game so it really doesn't matter whose pro or not. He dies about 3 times whereas I only died two. It got to the point where close to the end everyone on my team died minus me. Logically speaking if I was to die, it would probably take seconds for the bots to just push the left lane where we had no turrets and take out our inhibitor and swarm the base with creeps costing us the game no matter how pro the Wukong thought he was. So doing the smart thing, I initiated a surrender, which caused the Wukong to rage, but Veiger and Volibear both accepted and we lost the game. Causing the Wukong to call us all trolls and retards. Lol whut? It would be retarded to continue playing.

I used to play with my Ex about a year ago
I played as singed and Master Yi a lot. Even had the surfer skin for singed near the end.

I don't really play anymore because of said Ex.
Left a nasty taste in my mouth it did.

Anyone here a fan of Riven? i'm really trying to play her but i can't seem to get her play style right, but champs like warwick and lee sin work for me just fine.
