Ok, I got fed up with only knowing what other people have said so I looked it up.

Looks like it's not the flu that kills you, h1n1 is just like any other flu in symptoms and severity. What can kill people is the higher risk of secondary infections and complications from existing health problems. Mostly targeting the young, old, and people with health issues. For any normal healthy person, it's just another flu.

Well, it wiped out so many people in Mexico when it first started spreading, and then matters weren't helped by the global thread of 'pandemic'. People get scared easily, especially when the Newscasters have nothing else interesting to report.....

@Sera: I do have seasonal allergies and was dismissing my symptoms as that, but with the added fever and acheyness I've developed I'm pretty sure it's gone funk. But the comfort measures are the same for now. I've got stuff to make a nice soup if I feel like it, tea and honey and a box of oranges, now I just need to be smart and "rest" ;)
