Well I actually made an account way back in 2010 but never got on it a second time. But I received emails from Mene all the time so I finally gave in and made a new account because I couldn't remember the account name at all. That's basically it.

I found menewsha in a search for a site similar to gaia, but different in it's system. Although I still use gaia I have become less inclined to use the site as the value of gold decreases and increases the value of gaia cash. I used to donate to gaia, but now its just not worth it. I am hoping for a better experience here. ...although I have yet to actually have a friend on this site. :\

2600: You've only just joined, give it time That's another big difference between us and Gaia, we're more personal, we take the time to get to know people. When you make a friend on here it tends to actually mean something, not just people adding you because they want lots of friends, even if they never speak to them ever again like it often is on larger sites.

I found this site today because one of the owners of a B/C shop on Gaiaonline that I work at (I cert the pets for the staff at the shop) had mentioned they were probably going to move said shop here, and since I very much love the shop, here I am. It has not been moved here yet, to my knowledge, since it was just talked about last night, but I wanted to make sure I would be here for it when it is set up.

I was a gaia member. I was looking for another avatar site for RPG because I was stating to hate gaia. Let me just say I LOVE it here. :D

I just kind of looked up avatar-based forum sites on Google... And here I am :D

I got here from Celainia's list of other avatar sites.
Now the occasional users Celainia gets are mostly for that list which, though handy, is far from updated: ever since Celainia's fallen into the quicksand of inactivity some of those sites have had their official funerals... HATE it when that happens. Especially with a site that has barely had a chance to get off the ground.

Ah, Celainia! Raine Dragon used to be very active on here, before they started their own site. They've not logged in for several years though

Raine Dragon hardly logs into her own site now. From what I've heard she's got a lot of stuff going on IRL... what I don't get is what's the other staff doing? How can they ALL be caught up in other stuff at the same time? Even if Raine's the one does the pixel art and stuff, the other staff should be running around doing all the non-pixelly stuff can to make stuff happen on Celainia and keep the users coming back.
What bugs me the most is, I didn't know about the site back when it was active and did not have a chance to enjoy it. Idk if I sound weird and geeky but, each avatar site offers a different experience which I wanna experience. Just for a bit, and if I like I'll STICK oh my like a strange little wart that tries to be endearing.
Ah well, I'm making up for that now by enjoying myself thoroughly here :)

Maybe the rest of the staff have lost heart without having any leader there? I can understand that happening. Or maybe they just flounder without someone above them providing guidance? There's no way of knowing, I guess.

They shouldn't need guidance to just stay active and regular and talking to the users that visit -_- You're right, we'll probably know what (probably) common thing obliterated them all (ok that sounds bad but whatevs.)
Of course maybe it's as simple as collective boredom.
