I just joined and I can't change anything about my avatar. Help?

Hey there and welcome!

To change your avatar go to the 'Avatar' section by clicking the link near the top under Home. To equip something (once you have items to equip), go to your Inventory.

Well I mean I'm trying to change my hair, eyes, skin, etc. And it just won't do it!

If you go to Avatar as he said before, there are little tabs for eyes, hair, skin, etc.
First though you have to pick your skin, as skins reset to defaults, then select your eyes, eyebrows, lips, and ears. The hair will remain unchanged until you change it.
But be sure to hit "Save" or it wont save it
