I sort of have an odd question. lol! I noticed that some avatars on here have nicely shaped heads, but mine is like all inflated and awkward. Is there a way to buy a new head? LMAO! I know it sounds weird, but she's not porportioned well with the rest of her body. I clicked on edit, but it just changes eyebrows, eyes, lips, hair, and skin color.

I think the problem is that that is the head shape for that hairstyle? You may have to change your hairstyle for a different shape for your head

Hello! Welcome to the site!

If you click on Avatar, you can see the different body shades you can change to. All the heads are shaped the same though.
The hairstyles can change how your head looks to yourself and others even though the actual shape has not changed, just like hairstyles in real life.
Though you can choose to remove your avatar completely in order to make a "scenic" type avatar.

Be sure to check out some of the "Sticky" threads, because they hold a lot of important information for each section. Just read the title and see if it may be something you think you might want to know.

There are a lot of great charity threads to help new member get acquainted with the site, to have a place to chat and feel welcome, and to help dress yourself with some wonderful items.

And be sure to stick around because the Halloween event will be starting on this site soon! It is a great chance to get a lot of new items! Once it starts, you will get a "token" every time you make a post. These can be spent on event items and the commons in the "Special Event Store". There will be a formal FAQ thread to describe more details about it. But only once the event starts.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone here is so friendly! And no, the other site is still there. But they have little to no security. People are often getting hacked there, and the members can be brutal! Some threaten, many bully, it's not user friendly and definitly not suitable for anyone under eighteen. It's not like it's original roots. And it gets expensive to play there too. I'm a member of both now, but this place is a breath of fresh air! lol!

Expensive? They charge real life money to be there?

It's a freenium site, if that makes sense. For very basic gameplay with little to no chance of winning pets, backgrounds, clothes, etc, it's free. If you have tons of friends that play and purchase coins with real money, and you have a chance of being gifted, then that's the only way you can really get ahead or have a nice looking avatar. It's gotten very expensive to play any of the games there, to be honest. A few years ago I had over three thousand in my four year old account and they just deleted it, because they leaked over 500 passwords. I returned and things really went up in price, and starting over is tough anywhere. That game is more game and chat based. Here it's more forum based. Two different worlds, but I like it here. :)

Wow... here you can get every item without donating a dollar. (I still donate though because I love Menewsha)

Plus, I don't think I've ever seen an item be sold for more than $2.50

Yes poet nancy is another friend of mine from the other site we belong too. I've been inviting people i think will appreciate the differences on this site. as nancy said, the other site can be very expensive and frustrating :/ it also tends to show a lot of bias as far as the people who win the pets and prizes in the games >:( the same people win everything whereas everyone else is lucky to win every now and then smh. And free play you have almost no chance at all of a win.

Poet, everything on that other site is expensive. A limo car for the background is $50.00 in real money. And for a pair of glasses which lets you be a beta tester, it's almost $65.00 in real money. Talk about inflation! Yesh! lol!

Ali, I really seem to like it here, so far! I clicked on shops then the jewelry store, I think it was on page 3, they had a candy corn necklace there too!

The background type things are called cis which stands for contribution items. Theyre sold in the contribution store after you donate. When you donate you get the equivalent of funcoins and thats where you get tha backgrounds. But if you cant contribute you can still buy them for coins in the marketplace. Click marketplace then click the cis column :) hugz and kssyz

$50 for a single item? That's far too much.

On Menewsha we get a multiple equip item for $2.50 and on the plus, unlike some other sites, you can use all the poses without having to buy multiples
