I randomly found this site while wandering around on the internet.
So far, I like it. There's tetris and space invaders.

I am an adult with child like tendencies,
I like cats (Like half of the internet does) and I enjoy ice cream.

I also hate winter weather and snow. There is too much cold.

I've gotten a lot of snow too, it sure is cold out there! How many cats do you have? I have too many to count.

llonka, me and the S.O. have three cats- a huge orange tabby, a blank and white one, and a tortie kitten that we saved from the outside.

I noticed you managed to get your gold into the triple-digits, but you're still posting around all naked. Personal preference, saving up for something or just not sure what you want to wear yet?

Wellllllll, in all honesty, other than the #1 Newbie Emporium, theres nothing cheap enough to actually cover my whole naked body, annnd that stuff makes me look like I'm in a potato bag....
so I am saving up just a little bit more so I can look halfway decent.

People on Mene tend to be very generous, yes. That's because on Mene, the site doesn't throw cheap gold at you at every corner, so we all know and vividly remember how hard it can be to start building up a nice inventory.

As to items to go for next, I would suggest some commons that are usable for many future avatars as well. With what you already have, I'd say a belt, gloves, socks, leg warmers, shoes and/or a head/neck/face-item. (Nice to know: Most socks layer over stockings and some socks can even be layered over other socks--so with stockings, legwarmers, socks and shoes you can get up to four-five layers going pretty easily if you know the right items. :D Some gloves also layer on top of each other.)

By gold throwing in every corner, do you mean like Gaia? Because I found this while fleeing there :o The inflation is crazy.

Yes, like Gaia aka "Spam, Inflation and Ad Central".

This is why I fled :o And took a lot of time trying to find a site thats the opposite of gaia :O and i think I found it. That and the forums. I like forums.

Yeah, Menewsha is basically Gaia's opposite as far as avatar site's go. A fair few more and somewhat stricter rules, but I'd say that makes sense. (And seeing three-thousand topics per minute with nothing else than "bump" in them gets boring real fast anyway)

One positive at Menewsha is that your posts earn you gold based on how long they are. It's one of the reasons you'll see basically no leet-speak here except in jest--it literally pays to properly type out your words and sentences.

Well, that explains the mysterious gold that I didn't earn from games. Now that I know that I will definitely not avoid going into random tangents about random subjects. That, and it is a lot more incentive to get into one of the role play threads that I was looking at.

Yup. A fair bit better a system than Gaia's "100g or close" for the first handful posts of a day and then rapidly dropping to 1g-a-post, eh? Means that even if random bumping was permitted--which it isn't--it'd earn you basically nothing, while actually talking with someone can easily rack up a nice bit of gold.

And gold on Mene's worth a fair bit more than Gaia gold. There's only a very small number of items above 100k here.

Another major difference with Gaia is the rules on multiple accounts. Mene permits you two accounts, tops, with exception of staff-sanctioned third accounts such as my charity mule you sent that application for a newbie packet to.

Gaia's market has actually experienced major inflation. The gaia-run shops are at cheap prices, about on par with the shops on here, but the market is so bad, that gaia's freebie gold is up to 100,000 to 1,500,000 gold per hit. There are items for trillions of gold, and a billion gold item is a typical item. It's really bad. And they got rid of the only thing that made it worth it, zOMG!... that outraged a lot of people.
