Uhmmm...as long as you're still able to run and touch your toes for a full four minutes, I think you'll be just fine.
Some girls will just always be heavy-set, and I personally see nothing wrong with that as long as you're eating okay and exercising.
Being heavy =/= unhealthy.
But obviously if you're miserable with how you look, then you should do your best to change. I'd support you.
I just feel bad that a lot of women feel like they have to project certain images to be accepted. If you want to know a huge 'secret'; guys like me don't really give a crap how heavy you are, just so long as we don't get stuck in your rolls, you have a lot of confidence, you're low-maintenance when it comes to relationships, and you at least try to take care of yourself. True story.

I'm probably not the best person to ask about this things. I could tell you some things, but I mainly want you to know this: don't get obsessive about the weight and food and numbers because, believe me, it can consume you. It's great if you're trying to be healthy for its own sake, but problems come about when your goal is to be a stick figure. I'm not giving any details here, but trust me, I've been where you are and where you might go, and I don't recommend that particular route. All I'm saying is that you need to take care of yourself first and foremost. Worry about the weight after you get your eating habits in line. Less red meat, cut out fried and greasy foods, and if you can, most processed foods should be avoided as well. Your body will absorb the vitamin C from an orange much better than it would from something chemically infused with the vitamin. Makes sense? Anyway, good luck to you. Try not to go overboard.

I dont eat,
But try not eating anything over 50 cals for two days,
then on the third day, eat like 120 calories.
So your body doesnt trip ouuut and only eat infrount of people,
so you friends dont take notice, this is what i do.
But dont try to make yourself throw up, ever. It is horrible for your body,
and it just tears up the body each time.
I dont want hate mail if they donnt like my patterns of eating. this is just my way and im sharing it with youu (:
Also, sometimes your body will tell you your hungry, when your really just thirsty .
Keep that in minnnnd ♥

No hate mail here, but please seek help for your eating patterns! 50 calories is in no way, shape, or form healthy. The average adult requires 2,000 calories per day. Cutting that down, even to just 1,000 calories, can cause many people to become malnourished. Only 500 calories a day would cause starvation. 50 calories is quite impossible to maintain, and trying to do so will cause your body permanent damage.

I agree! That is not healthy at all! I had a friend doing something similar and I became really frightened for her.
I understand what it is like to struggle with weight. I have been struggling with mine for about two years now. I am 5'4" and at my heaviest was 182lbs. My doctor said I had really high cholesterol so I realized that it was time to change the way I was living. I am now down to 155lbs. My doctor said that I should be eating about 1,500 Calories if I am working out and 1,200 if I am not. Anything below that and I would do serious harm to my body. I began by switching out white breads and pasta for whole grains, eating more vegetables and fruit, and cutting out unnecessary sugar and soft drinks. Unfortunately, school has gotten in my way. I have noticed that my diet has gone downhill and my excessive amount of work keeps me from exercising as often. I just hope that come break, I can switch it back into high gear! My doctor wants me down at least another 10 pounds.
My best advice to anyone struggling with weight is to exercise often! Also, this struggle is much easier when you have family/friends to support you and a doctor's guidance.

Yea, I agree with this post as well.
I read an article about all the people who ever lived who weighed over 1,000 pounds. One of them was friends with another person on the list who weighed over 1,000 pounds and his friend died before he did and he developed a phobia of eating and stopped eating altogether. Even though he still weighed about 500 pounds or whatever when he died, he still died of starvation because he wasn't eating any calories at all. Dying of starvation has nothing to do with weigh, but with how little calories of food you are eating on a day to day basis over time.

I am 5'7 and 180 pounds, but I don't look it.
A lot of people say it's because of my gigantic boobs too, but I would feel better if I lost at least ten pounds.
All the advice I have for you is, keep going to the gym and eat more vegetables.
Substitute snacks with an apple or orange. Just try your hardest to change the way you eat with some meals
and you'll get to your goal in no time.

I agree with most of the advice given so far. Keep up the trips to the gym and eat more fruits and veggies. Try to cut out refined sugar and other carbs that don't do anything good for you -- replace those bad carbs with things like quinoa, wild/brown rice and sweet potatoes -- foods that have great nutritional value. If you want to snack, try a handful of nuts, a piece of fruit or some carrot sticks.
By cutting carbs and exercising, I've lost over 100 pounds, so I'm all gung-ho about protein and veggies.

I'm not overweight, but I constantly watch what I eat, since I adore food so much.
-Look at the serving size.
-Eat vegetables, fruits.
-Trade in white for wheat, whole for low-fat.
-Treat yourself once in a while.
Kudos for excersizing! My mom makes me run 6miles a week, but if I do them quickly, only 4.

Wont the water fill me up aswell so im not that hungry in the first place?
|
I wouldn't rely too heavily on the water factor. My dad actually had to go to the hospital one summer because he was working on building a deck out in the heat and was only drinking water. He actually didn't have enough nutrients (i don't know how often he was eating). The doctor actually advised him to drink Gatorade with electrolytes.
Anyway, on to the main topic. In my sophomore year of high school I weighed 140 lbs. I know it's not that much, but was putting it on very steadily and I wanted to make sure that it didn't get any higher. So that summer I started to pay more attention to what I ate. Before that I would always help myself to an extra serving of mashed potatoes, rice, and pasta whenever we had it as well as fatty desserts when I got home when I should have been eating lighter snacks. So I altered my diet a little bit, stepped back from seconds and I managed to get down to 125 over the course of a summer. Plus I've kept it that way by always asking myself "do I really need to eat this, or is there something better for me I could be eating?" I love munching on Nature Valley bars, and 100 calorie packs to wonders when you need just a little bit of something sweet!
It's not that hard to lose weight, you just have to remember that it takes time. I know my mom has failed with all of her diet attempts because she gets discouraged about how slow weight-loss is and she just gives up and goes back to her bad habits. Just take the time to recognize your weaknesses and correct them.
