Saw the Olympic Torch today in college :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Does anyone care about the Olympic games or the torch?
I think it's good the the community and creates a nice atmosphere.
Thanks

The games don't really interest me that much, and never have. The torch is coming through where i am currently on the 28th. I'll more than likely have a wander on up just to say that i've seen it.

The torch passes through my town at some point but I don't think that £11 billion for 4 weeks isn't a very good investment plan and I don't really have an interest for the Olympics and theirs too much hype for it...

I do enjoy watching a few of the sports they hold for the Olympics, the torch isn't that interesting me, but I will admit, it would be cool to see. The sports I enjoy watching most are the gymnastics events, swimming, and there was one other... hmm oh its a winter Olympics one, Ice skating.

The only thing that interests me about the Olympics is the Mario and Sonic Wii games XP

Yeah some bit's but there's most of this place that I hate... Mainly the people that live in it, you know some people are so moronic that you would happily push them in front of a bus...

I do like the Olympics. But if I had to choose which ones were my fave. I like the Winter better than Summer. I like more Winter sports than Summer I guess. The only one from the Summer I pay attention to are the events for road Cycling.

You want to move someplace more tolerable, and one of your choices is China? You do realize that they are a brutal dictarorship, right?

Yes I do know that. I've been there twice.

Anybody else waiting for David Tennant to get the torch at some point?!
(For those who don't know, one of the episodes of Doctor Who has the Doctor [played by David] running with the torch for this year's Olympics.)
Sora saw on tumblr that someone sent an email to people for the Olympics asking if David was really going to run with the torch at some point and they actually got a reply reading "Working on it." ;DD

I play badminton competitively so I am into sports.
I love watching the olympic games, but I don't care too much about the olympic torch.
For the winter 2010 games my assistant coach was a torch bearer and she brought her torch into one of our practices and I got to hold it which was great.
I like watching many of the events but of course my favourite would be badminton since I play it. However it doesn't show on the stations here so I have to go online to watch it.

The Olympic torch is in my local city just now, and it's leaving on Monday. To be perfectly honest, I couldn't give two shiny shites about the Olympics. I just know it's going to be all I hear about this summer. I don't have British pride or anything and I don't care about sports. To me, it's just a massive waste of money that could have been better spent on something else than a stadium. I feel the exact same way about the Jubilee (thank God that's over).

I agree with what you just said about the Olympics and money, oh and did you know about a high speed train from London to Birmingham that will make the trip 20 mins faster then a normal for the cost of now you might want to hold on to something, 12 billion pounds! You can thank the govenment....

I didn't hear about the train. I can't stand the Tory government. I can't wait until the Scottish Independence Referendum in 2014 where we'll hopefully be able to disown England. The Royal Wedding also cost a shit load of taxpayers money. So much has been spent on needless things like that, when the NHS is suffering not to mention education going back to ability to pay over ability...

I just spent all day watching the US Team Qualifiers, so I am PUMPED! The decathalon is easily my new favorite competition. Ashton Eaton just set the new world record all of 10 minutes ago, so it certainly looks like the good ol' US will have a fighting chance at the gold. :)

I like watching but I'm not a terribly active follower. It gets a little boring after a while.
