I can see quite easily how a vegan (including your friend, who seems a little .... odd- no offense intended) can be pro choice. Pro choice isn't necessarily pro abortion, its simply not taking another person's choice about abortion away. I myself am against abortion, but pro choice, so I can see where your friend is coming from (possibly, or maybe she's just not making the connection). I myself am a vegetarian and general health nut - just to throw that in >.<

I was going to say that you can be against government regulation and still be pro-life, but she specifically wanted one illegal and the other not. The only thing that I can think of regarding this are the issues of the chickens which were used in the supply of unfertilized eggs. Otherwise, she's very confused.
