Hi!

I'm just doing this out of curiosity, especially because there are so many new actors/actresses I would like to know which ones are really popular.

I don't really go for the 'newer' actors and actresses. But I'll tell you that my favorite actor is Johnny Depp, very closely followed by Robert Downey Jr.

I don't know why RDJ is in that exceptionally short list, I just love him to be a main character in a movie, even if that movie isn't really my speed. Depp, however, is my favorite because he can fall into place with a character, from a crazy candymaker in the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, to a depressed psychotic barber in Sweeny Todd (which I was surprised I liked). I think I'd suffer through a terrible plot or predictable movie if he's a main character in it. In fact, I would!

Oops! Sorry about that! But it's true, so true. I'm planning on seeing Dark Shadows just because it has Depp in it.

I have so many favorite actors and actresses... but right now my tops would be:

Movie Actor: Edward Norton
Movie Actress: Kristen Steward

TV Actor: Matt Smith
TV Actress: Kristen Vaness

Hmm I would say Cameron Diaz because I love the characters that she plays plus she reminds me of my cousin :p oh and shes hot ;)

Nathan Fillion.

Johnny Depp, Robert Downy Jr, Jude Law, Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, Emma Stone, and the older guy from Zombieland! No idea who he is, but he's awesome ^.^

Codette, that would be Woody Harrelson. And I agree, he's awesome!

Oh, I forgot to mention Jude Law in my tiny list.

Hm...I don't really have a favourite. I really like Seth Rogen, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Michael Cera, Johnny Depp and Morgan Freeman though. :')

Judy Garland is my all time favorite actress and my favorite actor would be the one and only

It would be have to a tie between Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt. They just move me when they're on the screen.

I know she's not very well known, but I love Idina Menzel as an actress. I also have a soft spot for Cher as an actress as well.

Hm. I'm not sure I could pin it down to just own. So I'm gonna go with two.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy.
I admire these two so much, and not just for their spectacular performance in The Dark Knight Rises. I was first introduced to these two actors in Inception and I've been looking up their works ever since. Both are spectacular actors who disappear wholly into the role and you forget that they are actors.
JGL is a brilliant emotional actor where you can read the lines of his face and the look in his eyes so easily as to get what he's feeling.
Tom Hardy is a true chameleon transforming himself entirely for his roles that he is every bit that character and not for one moment does the man peak out. He's so versatile. also, I note to him in TDKR, he so brilliantly conveyed every emotion with only 20% of his face and for that he will have my respect for years to come.

I'd have to say Christian Bale, George Clooney, and Elijah Wood. I've never seen a performance by any of them that I wasn't blown away by. That being said, I haven't seen all of their movies, so it's entirely possible that they've given some bad performances... But their name being tied to a movie does increase my desire to see it.

For some reason I can never come up with an actress to pick as a favorite. I'm not sure why, I just never really see the same woman appear in multiple movies that I like, so I can never form an opinion on any actress.

Clock loves loves loves Milla Jovovich.

By far, Tom Hiddleston. I loved his performance as Loki from the Avengers movie, and even more so, in the Thor movie. His background as a Shakespearean actor makes his every performance thoroughly entertaining. Plus, thanks to tumblr, I now know that he's quite hilarious as a person and his laugh is infectious! "Ehehehehehe"

This may just be a total biased answer but it's got to be Joseph Gordon Levitt! He's really a new hot thing going around. I liked him since he was a kid in 3rd Rock From the Sun and then he appeared in 10 things I hate about you which he played such an adorable yet lovable geek! Then inception came out and he blew me away! One thing was that he so rocked the vest (guys in vests... totally Pan's fancy!) but he played his character really well! Very different from what I remember him. Then of course there was 500 days of summer which I watched halfway because I know the ending sucked and he was back to his normal goofy self <3 and then The Dark Knight came out! O.O You could pretty much ignore Christian Bale throughout the movie and focus on Blake completely (Well, unless you are a guy and all you can see is Anne Hathaway). I'm not a follower of comic books so I am kind of curious to know what is going to happen if there happens to be a next instalment.

I recently watched Premium Rush with him and again, it was a different side of him. He must have worked out like mad to be able to play that role! It looked insane!!! O.O

He's also a serious producer and involves himself in a lot of charity work. I like him as a person,. How he is caucasian but yet still looks somewhat Asian. He's an amazing actor who can play various roles... It took him awhile to come back and be famous but when he made it, he really came out with a bang! I'm excited to see how he develops and take on new types of roles...

Hm. My current loves are Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy. I think both of them are absolutely brilliant new stars. I fell in love with both of them through Inception and I've been watching their other movies. It will absolutely shock me if Tom Hardy doesn't get an Oscar in the next five years. He's absolutely amazing and he just completely changes who he is for each role. It's outstanding. And JGL plays into simplicities so much and his facial expressions say so much that I love just watching him on screen.

Both are great and I expect to see more of them in coming years.

Helena Bonham Carter She's so versatile, a little nutty, and stunningly gorgeous. I have a mega crush on her.

Tom Hardy was pretty charismatic in the dark knight but JGL stole the show for me!

The whole movie was 'Christian who?' and then you had Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy and JGL... And that's pretty much all we were watching... I knew that was all I was watching ^^"

Have to agree with you pancake...Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a complete hottie both on and off the screen.
