Ooh, it looks good! I really like what you did with the background, how did you get that effect?
Aw, thank you. <3
I remember learning a few different techniques for watercolors when I was in school but I can't say as if I ever mastered them. >.<
Um... I can't even remember anymore. Probably like a week or something of only doing it during class.[COLOR="Silver"]

Oh yeah. Did you ever get things sorted with his family? Er father? About paying and that kind of stuff?
Thank you. =3
The background? I just chose a brush and then gave it a cloud effect.
I don't think we did really anything with watercolors. At least, nothing that I can remember.
Ah. Haha. xDD No biggie~

@ Iku: Oh yeah, he did finally give me the price he wanted for rent. ^^;
I like that brush though I have absolutely no idea which one it is or if my version of Photoshop even has it. >.<
I remember having at least one watercolor assignment. Mine came out rather crappy though to be honest. V_V
Yay! I have the week off. *Parties* It won't be long before I leave now. ^_^

Oh yeah? :D That's good. Are you excited to go?
Oooh. I used... Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0
Wacom Brushes 3 -> Heavy Crosshatch
Pattern Stamp Tool -> Molecular
Well, I imagine if you only had assignment with watercolors then you're not getting much practice. I wonder why they don't teach it more. P:
Hooray! :boogie:
How long has it been since you've had a week off?

Yes and no. I'm excited to be with him and to get away from here but not happy about the prospect of going back to the same old arguments with his family. >.<
It would definitely be that crosshatch one that I like but I don't have the same setup as you so I don't think I have that one... Thanks for the breakdown of what you used though!
It was a high school studio art class, what do you expect? The point of those classes I think is to teach you about as many different types of media as possible so we didn't really focus very long on a single medium.
Um... Basically never. Not with paid vacation anyway. I requested week off when my fiance was last up here around mid March I believe but didn't even get the time I asked for. V_V
I'm going to see the midnight release of Harry Potter at the drive in tomorrow... I can't wait!

You're welcome! :D Yeah. It says Wacom brushes, so I assume it came with that. I wonder if you can find some crosshatch brushes on DA...
Ah. Haha. True true. I remember the art class I did was like that too. I kind of liked learning about all the different kinds of mediums though. Despite not being able to work much with them.
Gosh. Well, I hope you're enjoying it so far!
Oh sweet! I was debating on whether or not we should go see it tonight. Still not sure...

Yeah, I really will be happy to see him and I'm sure it'll be okay for a while but eventually the same old crap is going to crop up between everybody.
Yeah, I could probably find one if I tried hard enough but I think I'll just wait until I get a tablet. I swear I'll get one one day!
Yeah, I really liked to experiment in those classes so it didn't really bother me much, and I could always try using those techniques out of class to get more practice with them. I didn't have too much free time once I joined Track and Field though...
It hasn't been anything special really. I'm just trying to use it up before I leave because I don't plan on coming back and I don't want to lose a week of free pay. >.< Yesterday was awful but I think today will be better if nothing else because I get to see Harry Potter! *Fangirl squeal*
I'm hoping it'll be easier to get in at the drive in. The picture quality won't be as good as last time when I went to see it in Imax but I'm sure it'll still be great. I don't want to see it in 3D anyway. >.<

Aww. Well I hope things don't get too bad for ya~
Haha. You will! You shall! :illgetu:
All I had was band, and I pretty much quit that in 9th grade. Still had the class, but didn't do the extra after school stuff anymore. And then didn't get the class either in 10th grade when I switched schools.
There's still some stuff I would like to do again. Like papier mache.
Ooh. Well at least you're getting some relaxing time then, right? Sorry that yesterday sucked for you. -hugs-
Hope you enjoy today! And toniiight! Looking at our funds, we probably won't go tonight. Probably just go some time during the day when it's cheaper. Probably just skip the 3D part too.

Hopefully not. >.<
I'll see about asking for one for Christmas. It would probably be the only thing I'd get but I could try. ^^;
I quit band in 7th grade I think? I didn't like it that much and the band instructor was a jerk. I'm ashamed that I have boxes and boxes of art supplies that I haven't used in years. I keep hoping that I'll find the motivation to get them out and make something with them but it seems that hasn't happened yet and now that I'm leaving it definitely won't be happening. I might take a sketchbook with me but probably not much more than that. >.<
Zig likes matinees too because they're cheap. I was just watching the video about Pottermore. Have you heard of it?

Worth a shot.
Ah. It sucks how much teachers can be influential in school. If they're not a good influence that is. My 10 grade math teacher was pretty bad and my grades kind of reflected that. @ A@ Left me with a bad taste in my mouth for Geometry.
I never realized how many sketchbooks I have until I started doodling like crazy recently. I have lots of art supplies too. I'll get through them one day!
Definitely take a sketch book.
Did you see it? :D Was it awesome? :eager:

That was the case for me and Chemistry as well. >.< I'm not even going to get started on that teacher or I might not stop ranting.
I have so many sketchbooks along with my boxes of supplies. I don't think I'll ever get through them all. Some will probably end up going to my little sister when she gets old enough to really use them. Or maybe I'll just start using them as scrap or just to take notes on though that's sort of a waste. I think I'd only do that with the ones that have cheap quality paper in them. >.< I really wish I had the time/motivation to use them. I have so much money wrapped up in all those materials just to have them lying around... I'll have to decide on which sketchbook/materials to take. I have some nice little travel cases so I'll probably take one of those.
Yeah, I saw it. It was good. Some of the events seemed a bit out of order so it was a bit disorienting at times but overall it was a good ending to the series I felt. The part about Snape was really well done. Surprisingly that was my favorite part of the movie even though I didn't care too much about him in the books.
It's this new online reading thing that's going to start up in October I guess. It'll be like a community where people can read and discuss the books together. I guess there will be some exclusive content, more background stuff about the world and that, and it will be the only place to purchase the e-books or digital audio copies. I'm pretty sure you'll have to pay some subscription fee or something though. I'm really not sure how I feel about it.

Haha! I wish I was better at Chemistry because it's so neat, but the equations and such involved make my head spin. @ ~@
Wow. I have some bigger sketch books that I'm not used to using (that I bought for school since they were on the supplies list). I'm wondering if I'll use those once my regular sized sketchbooks are depleted.
A few of mine had little notes in them. Japanese notes and such.
I was thinking that same thing when I was rummaging around in the art room (and reorganizing a bit); that I have a lot of moneys worth of supplies and such. Mostly paint. I never realized how much paint I have.
Aww, travel cases sounds nifty. > w< I have a little thing that looks like a toolbox that I use for some of my supplies. Mostly the supplies I use for art class drawings.
I saw it this past weekend. :B I was crying for most of the last half of the movie. :XD
Snape's part was the biggest cry for me I think and what started my whole crying fest to begin with. Haha~
We were a bit distracted at times though because certain characters or actions they did reminded us of other things. Like something Snape did reminded me of Vincent from Final Fantasy.
I enjoyed it, overall~ Nice closure.
Oh wow. That seems pretty neat in like the community and extra content way. Sub fee is a bummer, but eh.. -shrug-
I enjoyed the movies, but I'm not a hardcore fan; so I'd probably pass it up.

Yeah, that's what got me about it too, all those chemical equations. They look neat, but they're really complex. V_V
I have sketchbooks for charcoal, drawing, big ones, smaller ones. Waaay too many. V_V Some of them are half-filled with drawings but quite a few of them are completely empty. I usually don't use the big ones too much unless I have something specific in mind. I always drew rather small so it was really strange to have to learn to draw bigger for my first drawing class in college. Some of my sketchbooks have notes too but mostly from art classes or random things I wanted to remind myself of. I have some oil paints that I will probably never use. I even have a few canvases. I just never got big into the oil, it's a pain I feel. I'd rather work with watercolors or acrylics.
The little travel case like an extended plastic pencil case. It can hold quite a bit even though it's pretty small. Otherwise I have three toolbox-like containers that I keep most of my pencils and stuff in, a few wooden cases, and then two flatish totes that I keep under my bed. Then I have my portfolios stashed under my dresser, beside my bed and behind my desk. And the easel that I never use much wedged between my vanity and the wall. And then there's a shelf in my closet with sewing stuff too. T_T I really need to find a place to donate some of this stuff too. I'll definitely keep at least half of it but it would be nice to get rid of some of the stuff I know I'll never use.
It just got me how much he loved Lilly from the very beginning. It's all very sad. Especially the scene of him coming into her house after it's over with, and the ones with him speaking to Dumbledore. *Tears up* I'd go see it again if I have the time but I doubt I will.
I'm not really sure there will be a fee but I can only imagine if you're viewing the books online that you'd have to do something to get in. *Shrugs* I guess we'll just have to wait to read more. If it's free I'll probably join, or a one time like $5 fee maybe but otherwise probably not.

Yeeah! I'm sure I wouldn't mind them if I was always doing it and remembered them and such, but still... x Ax;
I have this one watercolor notebook that's neat, but since I'm not too big on watercolors it's a bit neglected. Ah well. At least I'll have it whenever I get the urge to do some watercolors.
I have a big canvas that I wanted to paint something on, but we ended up putting a finished puzzle on it so I could put some glue glaze on it. Just haven't gotten around to finish the glazing on it. And then my canvas shall be freeee!
I like oil paints. Not sure why. :s
Wow you have a lot of supplies and stuff. :D I have a big portfolio but nothing in it.
The travel case sounds neat, but I usually never bring more than just a notebook, a pencil, and a kneaded eraser, which isn't really much to put in the travel case.
We've been doing plushies here lately, since I'm in a drawing slump. I made a plushie of a star and a cloud. I was going to put the star on the cloud, but it looks funky, so I'm just going to make a new star.
And I helped make a little Cloud plushie.

Yes! That part was so sad too. I feel so sorry for Snape. I was worried at first that Harry wouldn't know, but then Harry took his tears and found everything out.
A one-time fee I wouldn't mind doing. But for something I'm more interested in. :s

I've always wanted to glue a puzzle to make a permanent picture out of it. I got my dad some of the glue once but I don't think he's ever done anything with it. >.<
It isn't the sort of travel case I'd take out with me sketching but it has some compact storage. When I used to sketch a lot I would usually just take a small pencil case with pencils, a sharpener, and eraser along with my sketchbook and occasionally colored pencils depending on how long I planned on being out drawing.
I went through a plushie phase too. I have the stuff to make more but haven't had the time/urge to do so. Mine are usually pretty abstract because I'm not that great at making very precise things but I think they turn out pretty cute. I mostly gave them to people as gifts but I did save one for myself. It's in my closet somewhere and hasn't seen daylight in a while.
I only made one humanesque plushie. I think those are the most difficult of all and I probably won't do one again though the one I made did turn out pretty much the way I wanted it to.
I remembered about him taking Snape's memories to find out but I didn't remember it being his tears. It seemed so much bigger than it was in the book. I felt like you could feel the emotion of it a lot better but maybe that's just because I haven't read the last book in years. >.<

:O! Oh yeah? My brother had this neat puzzle saver thing. It was like a cloth that you rolled around this uh... round thing.. XD
Anyway, you would do the puzzle on the cloth and if you didn't finish, but needed to move it or whatever you could just roll it up!
I always thought it was neat, but never really used it myself.
But yeah, I need to finish gluing that puzzle so I can get it off my canvas.
Ooh~ Did you go outside and sketch?
I've always wanted to do that, but my moods for drawing are that dependable. They just kind of come up suddenly. And I don't think my sketches are anything great enough that I'd be brave enough to do in public. Haha.
I made a tiny cat plushie some years ago when I was in high school. Not sure where the little buddy is though.
And I think I made a little ghost plushie back then too, but I also don't know where that is.
I haven't finished the cloud plushie (adding the stars) and I think I'm just not looking forward to making stars. I'm not good at making them and with the material I have, it's harder. @ A@
Right now I'm working on a plushie of one of my friends, in like.. chibi form or something.
Ah. Well there was a lot of emotion in that/those(?) scene(s).
I think they did a good job~

My mom got us one of those but I can't say we ever did use it... It makes me wish I did though. I like doing puzzles and it's been a long time since I've done one. What is the picture on the puzzle that you're gluing?
I almost always used to sketch outside. I didn't necessarily sketch the scenery but I would draw outside. I like to sit outside when I'm in the country, it's so peaceful and relaxing.
Making stars sounds extremely hard, I can't blame you. The chibi plush sounds really cute though. I went to Nintendo World in New York City yesterday and was tempted to get a pokemon plush but decided that I really didn't need it. I'd rather just get the one I wanted online. It was fun to look at all the cute little critters though.
Yep yep. I wouldn't mind going to see it again. I'm not sure I will though. I've blown quite a bit of money this weekend between traveling and going into the city so I'm going to try cut down on the spending for a while, except I do have to go grocery shopping sometime. >.<

Usually the word "examen" is used for what we would call a test in English. "Examen" and "test" have to different meanings though. Here's the explanation I found but I'm sure there are others that are probably better:
Quote:
L'examen est une épreuve écrite ou orale que subie un candidat ou un élève.
Le test : examen qui permet de vérifier l'aptitude à quelque chose.
|
So it really just depends on what exactly you want to emphasize, that it's an aptitude test or what it's a written/oral test. I think you might be right that "test" sounds better in this case but "examen" is the word most commonly used. ^^;
Tu as encore du temps à réviser alors. Pratique un peu de français chaque jour et réviser tes notes et tu feras bien je crois.
