@Sere: A simple bread that uses baking soda instead of yeast.

@Damia: Aww. That sucks since the bread maker is so convenient!

Sprite, huh? That sounds crazy, but I'm sure it works. I've seen other too-crazy-to-work-yet-it-does tricks like that. My grandma put a little bit of mayonnaise in brownies. It sounds disgusting, but it made for the moistest brownies ever, and you couldn't taste the mayo at all! CRAZY.

So I was browsing that site Iku posted from, and I found this recipe for salty dark chocolate shortbread cookies. I'd been wanting to make some cookies, but was wanting something a little bit different. This sounds perfect. And there are only 6 ingredients! Way simpler than my chocolate chip cookie recipe which calls for half the kitchen. I'm going to substitute regular salt for the fleur de sel, though.

I'll make them in the next week or two, hopefully. I'll let you all know how it goes!

@ Cherry ~ that recipe does look good. I love dark chocolate. That recipe lead me to another interesting one. Closet Cooking: Lime Meltaways I need to make these for my husband he loves anything lime & shortbreads are his favorite cookie.

So many interesting recipes. I want to try a bunch of them. :eager:

I'm glad you guys are liking the site! It makes me we wish I had a buttload of money and a grocery store right next door.

Slowly tackling it, one recipe at a time~
Some his shortbread recipes though, I am definitely wanting to try. Yes, let us know how those turn out!

I made a copy of the recipe so I can remember to grab everything next time I go to the grocery store, but that probably won't be for at least another week. To bad I didn't see that recipe sooner.

The flour was all I really needed to do. :3 They were a little more spread out then I wanted so next time I'll add a little more gluten-free flour.

What problems did you have with the chocolate? So I can try to learn from your troubles.

I didn't cut it up small enough so as it baked is just melted everywhere on the pan.
The next batch I did I cut into thin flakes and that seemed to work better.
