DARN. Now I'm so curious as to what made you guys cryyyyy.
That wasn't Edward leaving, of course. I was sad too, but I've never cried over a book before, so maybe I'm just dense to this sort of thing? XD I do get teary-eyed though

I did cry when Edward left but that was not so much him actually leaving, just the scenario and what he said to Bella was like, so eerily similar to what someone I loved very much said to me when they broke up with me.
It made bad memories come back. I had tears running down my face. ._.
The book was actually hard for me to read, because reading what Bella was doing, was like looking through a time warp into a mirror. ><
I cried at another part to, but I won't say which. xD

I do too.
Ones that stand out at me right now are parts in the last three Harry Potter books, a part in Mistral's Kiss (I think) by Laurell K. Hamilton, and a part in Danse Macabre that I recently read where I thought a certain character I like very much was dying. ><
Movies...I do it too. Like in The Notebook and Finding Neverland. Yeah. Bawling. =_=;
I cry over happy parts too though. XD -so sappy-

I read the Heroes graphic novel during the summer but I guess I forgot to add it.
I read Laurell's new books in 2 days. @.@ I loved it.
The Cat Who series is starting to become a new obsession with me. The books are so good and I like figuring out the mysteries.

Another Laurell fan? -prepares to pounce-
I still haven't read A Lick of Frost or Swallowing Darkness. My grandma is making me wait for them to come out in paperback before she buys them for me. -slow torture-
I think A Lick of Frost is out in paperback now though...

Are the Cat Who books actually about cats? (probably a stupid question)

Kitami - *pounces on you* I love Laurell. ;__; I need to visit Laurell's site because Swallowing Darkness felt like the end and I'm not sure if it was. A Lick of Frost is on paperback. >.> Go read it nooow. I want to talk to someone about it. lololool.
Cherry & Kitami - The Cat Who is about Jim Qwilleran and he's a newspaper writer. He always seems to find himself in curious situations. And on assignment for the newspaper he ends up acquiring two cats (from different people) a long the way. One is Koko(found in book 1) he's a smart cat that seems to be of a higher knowledge because he helps Qwill along on figuring out mysteries. And Yumyum(found in book 2) is the other cat and well...she's a wimp. The cats just help the story along. The main focus of the books is Qwill and he's a very interesting person to read. He has a giant mustache that seems to attract all types of people to him. The mustache seems to make people want to trust Qwill and give out information.
I find the books really amusing and very well written. And the characters the Braun makes up are just priceless.
here's wiki's description for the first book The Cat Who Could Read Backwards -
Quote:
|
In the first book of the series, the reader is introduced to James Mackintosh Qwilleran (Qwill), a former crime reporter turned newsman on The Daily Fluxion. His first assignment is the art beat where he meets a rather eccentric - and not very well-liked - art critic whom he befriends. He also meets the critic's cat, a Siamese named Kao K'o-Kung, Koko for short. In a series of events, the critic is murdered, leaving Qwilleran and Koko to adopt one another and solve the mystery.

o_o You seriously didn't see it? There were all these weird moments when I was like, "Okay...what is going on here? Are they going to just...do it or something?" It was bizarre!
The movie wasn't made any better by my friend complaining about how big Wendy's teeth were.
