@Iltu and Leenie: She has a celtic knot on the back of her neck and all the rest of her tattoos are stylized symbols of things that have meaning in her life. They are all very organic things: acorns, birds, water--very early Celtic-style simplicity relying on patterned designs. She certainly has not made this easy on me...

Woo! I finished Haunted yesterday, and started on The Time Traveller's Wife. I'm making progress already. XD

I read while working out on the elipitical machine at the gym, so I at least get reading time in every day now. ^_^

Oooo!
The two Michael Scott books are -amazing-!
I didn't know you planned on reading those Onee-chan!

@Thothy: I adore Michael Scott -- the two books Yuki has listed are part of his Nicholas Flamel series -- Over the course of the two books, only about a week, if that, passes by time-wise -- but the days are so action packed, it's addicting to read~
If you're into magic, adventure, and a lot of mythology, then you're sure to like the series :3

Sounds really good yuri. I am interested in ancient mythology... I like authors with descriptive literature with some factual basis... but I sometimes like to read fiction too.

Leenie- Okay, good reason to not call me Tutu, than. XD Iltu it is! I've just met a few people who have trouble with Iltu for some reason. o_o

Sizzla- I have heard GREAT things about The Time Traveler's Wife! I must read it sometime. ^^ One of my favorite teachers has told me it was great, and two of my friends have as well.

Thoth- I've only read The Alchemist by Micheal Scott and it was... alright. I didn't appriciate all of the way he handled mythological characters and thought there was quite a bit of cliche going ons. I did enjoy it, but it's not necesarily something I'd reccomend. I plan to read the next book in the series, but have no intense desire to do so.

Thothy: You may like his series then :3
It focuses around a set of twins and they go through a ton of turmoil during their adventures with Nicholas -- it's a complicated story, but full of evil immortals that are after not only Nicholas, but the Twins as well -- it also gives you a look at the ancient world and such -- especially when you visit Nicholas' old home in ancient Paris :3

Iltu: Really?
What sort of cliches?
-honestly didn't notice any ^.^;-

Thanks for the feedback Iltu & yuri.
I'm not one for cliches so much, Iltu, but if you say its worth reading than I shall try it out sometime... I'm half-way done with this CIA book and than I need to find something new.

That sounds really cool with the immortals, yuri. Any aliens involved? lol.

Thothy: Lol~
Nah~
But some freaky bird people are there xD
And there's this one immortal who's 3 women in one -- kinda sketchy -- but over all pretty cool~

And you're welcome ^.^

Yuri- Mainly the whole thing with them being so close, but Josh is all jealous and tempted by evil and all that. Jealousy of another's powers and whatnot as a reason for thinking about switching sides is a bit overdone, I think. If other reasons had been delved into, I wouldn't have minded so much. That and the whole being tricked into thinking they're doing the right thing. You know, how when Dee was trying to get Josh to join him by lying to him about Nicholas? I much prefer when characters go down the dark road for the sake of being evil, or when they know the truth behind what's going on, but think they're doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. When a character is fed lies to make the evil appear riotous and is tempted by evil ebcause of those lies, it just feels like the author's attempt to retain the character's innocence/likability.

Of couse, I have yet to read the second book, so perhaps everything I just said could be contridicted. XD

Other than that, I definitely thought he could have potrayed Hecate's Maiden, Mother, and Crone aspects in a better way, and there were a few random lines/actions that made me scowl because it felt like I'd heard it or seen it done before.

Those little thigns aside, I honestly don't know why I didn't love it. XD I adore mythology and there's action and good character development... I guess I just don't like the writing style or something. o_o

Hmm - yeah, I guess what was a bit over done -- but I also think his naivety on the matter is just who he is and is just the kind of person who will believe such things without a second thought~
All Josh is really thinking about is besting his sister and keeping her safe, which in turn increases his stupidity and naivety on most situations~
At least -- that's what I get from him xD
But I definitely see where you're coming from :3

Yeah -- I'll definitely agree with you on Hecate~
That was a bit off in my opinion as well :3
But I still adore that character - I'm quite intrigued by the original myth and wish to read it :3
Any idea of where it originated from / where I might find the story?
