Puff pastry is what they make turnovers with...it puffs up and has multiple layers of flakiness.

I think for now I'm gonna try and do at least one recipe per week, and maybe the odd cooking tip I've come across over the years.
Also keep in mind that this is not a professional blog. I literally learned how to cook via osmosis and trial-and-error.

Going to try and get the bacon cheeseburger pinwheels up either late this week or early next week. Though looking at 'em baking in the oven, it looks more like they'll be a loaf! X'D

I'm trying to figure out new things for wifey to eat since the specialist put her on a no/low salt diet. For us this is meaning pretty much no canned food in any part of the meal. Sometime read the label on a can of soup it will amaze you how much sodium is in a can of soup.
Anyone got any suggestions for a low or no sodium alternative to cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soup? Sort of difficult to make a good casserole without one or the other. At least most of the frozen vegetables don't have a lot of sodium. Tried making chicken casserole with a single can of cream of mushroom soup and added a bag of frozen carrots, peas and green beans to it for some extra moistness. Wifey liked it except for the green beans they just didn't work with the rest of the ingredients.

She won't eat alfredo, she tried it once and that was it.

Hm. :/
I'm stuck, then. Unless you can figure out a way to make cream of mushroom soup from scratch....or maybe use a no salt added variant? *shrugs*

We have been looking for a no or low salt version of cream of mushroom, but haven't found any yet.
We make have to try making our own version.

Yeah. It's just finding a place that actually carries them regularly.

That has been the problem. I also have to watch the sugar content of stuff as well. It is taking twice as long to get through the grocery store since I have to read every label. I did at least find some frozen vegetable that are no sodium and some peas that are also no sodium. None of the local grocery stores have any low sodium or no sodium soup.

*eyes cross* Eugh, bleeerrrrgh that's a pain. You might have to go online to buy them...or at least look online for recipes for them, anyway. Hopefully it won't be too hard. *patpats Damia*
