llonka ~ happy to have any recipes that you want to share. Most of mine lately have been desserts.
Divacita: welcome to the thread. Why are you afraid of the oven?
I have only known 2 people that really should of been afraid of the oven or people were scared when they got close to an oven.
One of my friends from school was such a bad cook that when ever her nieces & nephew would come to visit they would beg her not to cook. She was so bad that she set the trash can on fire after trying unsuccessfully to make microwave popcorn. About the only thing that she came close to being able to make was canned soup & she could scorch the pan or burn the soup when trying to make it.
The other one was a cousin. She never would read instructions on how to make anything. She also refused to measure anything. One time I was stuck spending the weekend with her & her mom didn't have anything easy to make or ready to eat in the house. I don't really remember how old we were, but we weren't teenagers yet. She decided to make muffins. She cooked them for over an hour & they were still runny. Her dog who would eat anything that got close enough ran away from that food. When she graduated from High School I bought her a beginners guide to the kitchen & beginners cookbook. She still can't cook. When we have family dinners she brings something from the store & we are all thankful for it.
Although I do remember being very stupid & trying her food on more than one occasion. Leftover Thanksgiving turkey mixed with whatever Chinese food her Dad had in his house. :P Not a good combination.

Div is afraid of the oven because of a very scary incident that happened to Div.

Would you like to talk about it?
Many families solve problems & talk over the days events either while making a meal or sitting down for a meal.

I hate discussing family problems over a meal, I believe there is a time and place for discussing issues and when you're all together eating is not one of them. But that's just my opinion, doesn't mean it never happens in my household.

My frosting/icing Recipe (well not "mine" technically but the one I used )
How to Make Icing Without Confectioner's Sugar
Tastes just like marshmellow creme/cream and does well when refrigerated (after a few hrs in the open air it becomes hard like plaster/cement. All though if its thicker, like spread nice and thick on a cookie it won't get rock hard but hard enough that you can stack the cookies.) staying soft and spreadable just like marshmellow creme. Actually easier to spread that marshmellow creme xD

Hi Miss Dami! Last night i made breaded pork chops, and they were a hit! You just dip pork chop in egg and milk, then dip it into breadcrumbs or crackers. Then you fry in a pan with a little bit of oil in it. so tasty!! let me know if you want exact measurements.

I'd be lost without icing sugar, I didn't realise there were alternatives.
I found what I'd think of as a basic hot chocolate recipe with some neat variations here. I imagine you can chuck just about anything in within reason.
At the moment I'm going to be pretty busy with uni until the end of term and then spending time at home with my parents (read: without my cookware/ingredients) so I probably won't be too active cooking-wise. Looking forward to picking up some ideas anyway. :)

Thank you everyone for visiting.
Kat ~ those hot chocolates look good & they even had a recipe for churros on the page.
I wonder where you find chilli dark chocolate at? I've never seen any before.
llonka ~ We do a recipe sort of like that with chicken, sometimes it is with crushed crackers & other times we use panko.
Phantomsangel ~ I can't wait to see what recipes you share with us.
Gwena ~ I probably won't get a chance to use the icing recipe until Christmas. It sounds like it would be great for Christmas cookies. The only icing I usually make is cake icing. I've made it so many times that I don't really measure anything anymore, just sort of eye it. Sometimes I use cream cheese as the base, but when I took the cake to the county fair it was a shortening base so that it would last in the display case for a week. It still looked pretty good when I threw it away. That cake was just entered in the decorated cake division. If it was supposed to be one of the tasted cakes I would of used the cream cheese base.

We used to make another version of chicken that I loved, but we can't find the recipe anymore. Would love to remember the name of it to find it again. I got it from a television show many years ago.
What I remember about it was it was more like a chicken appetizer & it had a buttery mustard dip & was rolled in crushed crackers & baked. It was really good.
May have to try again to find that recipe.

They do? I haven't seen it before. Is it good?
Must search for it next time I go to the store.
Which store carries them?
I mostly just see Lindt at Christmas or at CVS during the year & the mostly have the truffles.
Just saw a recipe that looks yummy. I want to try this one for Thanksgiving if I have time.

I've not tried it myself, my mum bought my dad some of the different flavoured dark chocolates as a present once because he's not a massive fan of overly sweet things.
I'm British so I wouldn't know the equivalent shops, sorry.

Just as a meal I make chicken ala king. It is really good and it is the only thing I go back for fourths for.
All you need is a thing of Cambells Cream of Chicken, Cambells Cream of mushroom, Tyson boneless chicken breasts and rice.
