Heh, they really did, didn't they? The whole video seems to take place on a high-tech touch screen. XD

Women who rap. Yeah, must find more of them. ^_^

Can't say I really know of any others. When it comes to rap, my knowledge is incredibly limited. I haven't found many yet who are any good, much less many females.

I don't know anything from this artist aside from this one song, but it's a really good one. Ode to Billy Joe - Bobbie Gentry
Unfortunately it's been all but forgotten recently. It's a bit difficult to find. But it's a great song. Nice folksy sound, good story telling, talented vocals...

Wow, I don't know what it is about country songs like this, but... I do like them. There's that Reba McEntire one, too... Great vocals on this one, you're right! Why can't all country be this good?

I wish I knew! There's only a few southern-sounding songs I like, but I know what you mean. Why can't they ALL be like that. D:
They're not girls, but on the topic, Old Crow Medicine Show's a good southern band.

Ohh, yeah! That band is country, isn't it? But they're more folk-style than pop-style. That always helps.

Oh yes I owe you that bad.

Metal band with female vocals, there a few songs I don't mind from them anyway.
LACUNA COIL - Closer
LACUNA COIL - Enjoy the Silence

There's another band but I can't remember the name. Its been bugging me for like a week. *_*

Nightwish, maybe?
I don't listen to them, but I do know they're a metal band with a female singer.

That might have been them, I don't really listen to metal either, I had just promised Cica I'd post up some metal for some genre variety. :)

Nightwish sounds quiet probable though..

Ohh, awesome. Genre variety indeed! :boogie: Okay, now that I've updated the list and changed the video (which is a change of pace, too, I think), I can actually... *gasp* Listen to metal.

(Does Evanescence count as metal, by the way?)

I haven't heard anything of Evanessence's since their first album, but I wouldn't class them as metal, personally. Inspired by metal, but not straight up metal. But then again, I don't know much about metal.

That really is a change of pace for the featured song Cica! x3 It made me smile.

Just some extra info. Lacuna Coil is considered "Gothic Metal" Which tends to have the stronger vocals, and nightwish is a " Symphonic metal" band.. For completions sack I pulled up one of their tunes. We gotta but thorough you know. ;)

NIGHTWISH - Nemo

Hee, glad you liked it, Soda. XD

And... I'm back. Still not in the rhythm of things, yet. It's amazing what a short trip out of state can do to a routine. oO But! There is finally an update. It is neither Lilith nor Canadian.

They're kinda mainstream, but these gals are definitely metal - Kittie

You may remember their hit from a few years ago, "What I always wanted"

There are a ton of great female rap/hip hop/neosoul artists.. I'll try to post a few when I'm less busy. :)

edit: Oops.. Kittie is Canadian.. so much for being different.

Woah. Yep, that's metal alright! XD I've updated the list, featured a new video and... well, I have been a bit MIA, too, between fighting a cold and keeping up with my online class. (Sorry about that.)

Soda, do you mean Julie Black or Jully Black? Not that they both shouldn't be included... :)

and i just found this chick on youtube... which i hardly ever look for new music on there... but i saw she did a cover of waiting for the end by linkin park and i think it's fantastic! she also did a few other covers by various artists... but this is a song off her debut album i guess... i like her voice...

Suggesting some: April March, Gossip, The Knife, Le Tigre, Rasputina, Tegan & Sara, Love is All (can't decide if I find this band annoying or amazing).

Just some suggestions for music, most of these are obvious but maybe a little diffrent genres than before? Love the list so far though. ^^
