((It's okay. I've been away on holidays so I couldn't really check for replies anyway...))
"I like to read, too." She flipped herself around so she was facing away from the water to face him, a small smile forming on her face. No one from her country read books anymore. They were more interested in the new forming technology than anything else. She also had to help out a bit with her parents' work like he did, but knowing her wandering mind, they'd always send her out to get something in town that would be helpful for their work rather than have her start with the thinking part since she had yet to learn to focus on the task at hand. "Most people call me Mindi. Melinda..." She paused after saying the name. She liked it, but... "Only my father calls me that when he's annoyed at me." It happened a lot.
