"Er... Thanks. I do have my own, you know..." She pulled out a minimized Pokeball from her bag and held it up. "See? All new trainers get five to start off with and they're all registered to that trainer. Even bought ones. They're done that way so there's no cheating. Thanks for the thought though." She looked at the determined-looking Caterpie and had to agree with him as she nodded.
Most wild Pokemon didn't want to battle alongside a human unless it was because they liked them. But other factors could be in there, too. Like battling for revenge and needing that trainer's help. But in that case, they'd be more likely to act unfriendly toward them whereas this one was pretty friendly. She'd have to catch it later as it seemed to determinded to be bothered with a Pokeball now.

Haley watched in amazement. She would never think that a beedrill would let there child go. she always thought beedrills would never let there children go. She liked how Cyrus was being brave for his new pokemon partner. She smiles though as the beedrill left letting her pokemon go. "I'm pretty tensed up too. but I think I would rather train then battle." she says looking down at at the moving vulpix in her arms. She jumps down and huffs up a little fire. "I think we need to practice more before we battle again." she says sighing at her tensed up vulpix. I would love to watch though." she smiles almost jumping for joy.

She had watched battles before from trainers that accidently caught there pokemon but were still skilled enough to battle others. She loved to watch battles.

weedle jumped up on Cyrus's head, and started numming on his hair. "hey!" he said, and started swiping at it playfully.

"Well Arisa...Caterpie? Are you guys up for a friendly battle?" Nae looked her own pokemon first who seemed ready, before looking to her traveling companions. "Training is good, but first we've got to learn what we need to work on. Right buddy?"
Sandshrew squeaked an agreement.

Nae giggled at the weedle. It was so spirited.

"Yeah. I'm ready." She seemed a bit nervous, though, this being her first one. The Caterpie seemed determined enough, but chances were all it knew right now was String Shot and that didn't do much. Having not caught it yet, Arisa couldn't check either.

"Come on arisa. The pokemon is Fixated by you" he said, trying to grab his weedle, which was now poking his head with its spiked head. "Just cat - ow! hey, watch the eye!"

Haley giggled in the background. "Like Crus says catch it first. then you will now its attacks. it looks like it wants to be caught." she says to Arisa.

"I suppose so. It looks so determined to battle first, though." She'd have her Pikachu battle it first, but she was still too tired. She recalled her uncle's story of his first Pokemon capture, also a Caterpie and how he only just threw a Pokeball at it without having to battle, but this one was on its guard and probably didn't want to be captured just yet.
She took the chance anyway and tossed the ball she had in her hand at the small Pokemon. After some shakes and a ping, the Caterpie was captured, soon to release itself from the ball and return back into its previous position.
"That was interesting... But okay. Let's see what moves you have..." She pulled out the Pokedex and checked. "Alright then. You actually know some moves. That's helpful!"

"Kay, good! now please help me!" he said, and weedle was now chomping his ear, while hitting him with his spiked tail.

"I wonder if maybe he's hunger. Seems to like your ear... Or his nibbling is a sign..." She reached into her bag and pulled out a container then walked over to Cyrus with a palm full of Pokemon food. She held her hand up toward the Weedle and waited for a bit.

the weedle jumped , and started chomping on the food. "thank you..."

Haley laughed at Cyrus's weedle. "Odd way to tell he's hungry." she giggles still as the weedle eats from Arisa's hand. "You better get back to your battle I don't think caterpie will survive on its own."she advised happily.

"Oh right! we can give them nicknames....." he started thinking. "Weedle! you shall be Called....Chomper!"he said. "Also snivy, Il call you Nightshade. "He said. Weedle Gave a Squell at his new name, and Snivy spun in a circle.

Arisa had nicknamed hers already, but she usually preferred to use words that reflected on that Pokemon she was naming rather than use random words. She considered their future forms when naming them as well. She'd already said her Pikachu's nickname earlier, if anyone had heard, but she hadn't said yet what her Caterpie's name would be.
She looked back toward Cyrus. "It was no problem really. I learned a lot from my uncle in the weeks I've live with him." She capped the container and placed it back into her bag when she was sure the Weedle was finished with it. "All Pokemon have their own way of telling their trainer when they want something and use techniques as to what it might be. With you Weedle, ear nibbling is his way to tell you he's hungry. But some Pokemon actually literally take the container out of the bag and try to open it themselves..."
Caterpie in the meantime was still waiting for that battle to occur as it sat there patiently now, staring up at the sky.
"Yeah. I can see that..." Arisa somehow knew the Caterpie well enough to know it would be okay, though. Even without a battle right away. It had already been caught so chances were it wouldn't run away easily. Arisa remembered something then and pulled the ball out. Flipping it upside down, she placed a sticker on the bottom that looked like shining powder.
