"Really? I never seem to have trouble traveling from one world to the next." Kash didn't really understand what she meant. It was simple. All he did was sit in his ship and put the coordinates into the computer and let her take him somewhere else. Some trips took longer than others, but really. He was a pirate, there were almost always other ships floating around to pillage and plunder on the way to whatever his destination was. Kash frowned just slightly, watching her almost carefully. He had a feeling that before the night was over with, she would end up using some of that magic on him. Most likely to capture him. He really would need to be extra careful.

"Then you must have lost something incredibly important to you at one point in your life," stated Diella softly. Sitting beside the man, she tried to think about this little dilemma, this thing that was inexplicable to her. Shelving the thought, her green eyes went to Kash. "So tell me what do you do? " She'd shown him, and was actually quite curious. Not just anyone would have been let in to this castle.

Maybe he had lost something incredibly important sometime in his life, but it would had to have been when he was very young. Could it have something to do with the fact that he had never known his real parents? Maybe, but probably not. "I can't think of anything I might've lost that was important to me.." He was still frowning just slightly as he thought about it for a few moments longer. Then she was asking him what he did. Kash went blank. Usually he was good at making up things, but for some reason, when she asked he couldn't think of anything to tell her. The truth was certainly out of the question. "I..well..I just travel around in my space ship really. Seeing new places is rather exciting." He gave her a smile. It was partially true. He really did travel around in his ship, and sometimes it was exciting.

Simply accepting the fact that Kash didn't know, the young woman nodded. Though as he went on about what he did, a frown crossed Diella's face. Now all suspicion was returning. "You can't survive just doing that, you need money for food, bartering ... And your ship, what happens if it needs repairs?" There were so many flaws in his so called job. Unless he could answer them all, Diella was actually going to be disappointed. Kash seemed like such an interesting fellow, though not necessarily very trust inspiring. He had managed to distract her after all.

Kash shrugged lightly, he couldn't tell her what kind of ship he had. A living ship, given enough rest, could repair itself, usually. If the damage wasn't to much. But still, those living sentient ships, were hard to get. Not just anyone could get them. Oh, and there it was. The perfect excuse. "Space stations. They're always paying people for salvagable equipment, and ship parts. I'll admit, sometimes it's dangerous. Braving asteroid belts for that kind of thing, but if you can get enough salvagable parts, the money is good. It's even better if you can haul in half of a ship or more." Smugglers did that sort of thing often, though that was mainly just a cover for them to get to certain places. Kash hadn't done any smuggling work in a long time. Piracy was just more entertaining. More exciting.

These were all things she'd learned about. Diella had never actually seen a real ship before. Curiosity getting the better of her, the young woman looked rather excited. "Do you think I could see your ship? I've only ever read about them. I haven't been cleared for technologically advanced worlds as yet. My home was a backwater place when it comes to that, our highest technology being clockwork. Mostly, we rely on magic." Finally her mood had lifted after her slump. Though at the back of her mind, Diella was always thinking about her friends and how they might be faring. Maybe ... Just maybe she could actually enjoy herself that night.

There was no way Kash would let her see his ship. Mostly because he could get arrested, then again. She might not even know what she was looking at. The space pirate shrugged. "Sure. You can see it, but after the party, alright? Wouldn't want to miss a thing. Besides, as hostess, shouldn't you be greeting some of the other guests?" Kash was trying to send her away and distract her from himself, but he also thought it might be bad manners for the hostess of a party not greet the other guests in person. Kash was itching to get his hands on some things and get out of here, though he had to admit. This woman was interesting, of course he was certain she was an enemy. Galactic Police, Peacekeepers, Regulators, Bounty Hunters, the list went on. She could be a member of any number of organizations and Kash was trying to not get caught by any kind of authorities.

Letting out a sigh, the young woman looked at the other guests. She really didn't feel like having to meet a whole round of new people. Diella's shoulders slumped at the very idea. Dealing with Kash was difficult enough, and he actually made her forget about what had happened. "Sure I should, but I really don't feel like it. Besides, it looks like they're doing fine." Turning to him again, her green eyes were a little suspicion, though really she was teasing when she spoke. "Why Kash, if I didn't know better I'd think you were trying to get rid of me."

Well, he had been trying to get rid of her. Though it didn't seem to be working. Kash shrugged at her. "I can't force you." He gave her a mischevious smile. "I'd be a fool to try and purposely rid myself of such beautiful company." Wait..why had he even said something as lame as that? Mostly to try and keep her from being so suspicious of him. Probably. "Alright then, tell me a little bit more about the organization you are a member of. I'm curious to know more, about you and your profession."

The unexpected compliment had Diella blushing. In an attempt to hide this fact, she stood quickly with her back to Kash. She still didn't like him! Shaking her head, the dark haired woman turned to him again with some traces of red still upon her cheeks. "For lack of another name, we're simply called The Organization. We go to worlds who are in trouble to help them and guide them trough that. We help train leaders, guide trough wars and fight off the forces of shadow which are our dark counter parts. Is that clear enough for you?" This was a rather touchy subject at the moment, with her friends off fighting those dark forces as they spoke. It was even worse, when two of those people were gone. Being killed cleanly was one thing, but the way the shadow took it's people was nothing to be complacent about.

Something about what she said had piqued his curiousity. She had said earlier that she wasn't very tecnologically advanced. So then. Who could her and her people travel to other worlds with out such tecnology? Or maybe he had misheard something. He nodded as she spoke though, he hadn't quite heard of this organization or their dark counter part that they fought against. "I see...But. How does your organization travel to other worlds? What process is involved in the way you do it?" That's right, Kash was trying to learn everything he could about this person and her group that could be potential enemies to him. It was always a good idea, so you didn't get caught unaware.

His question had her blinking incredulously. The man didn't know this simple fact, and yet he traveled the worlds effortlessly? "We use magic of course. You know, after drawing a complicated circle which is the world's signature, then letting out an outpouring of magic to activating it... Usually you need four mages of different elemental disciplines in order to open a single world." It was such a tiresome business. The more mages the circle needed, the more a world was closed in upon itself. It was why Earth was such a terribly hard place to reach.

A huge black bird fell from the sky, to land in grass near the front door. Sliding off it's back was a very tall and slender woman. She had pale blonde hair, with golden highlights that fell to her waist in soft natural waves. Intricate braids were woven through out her hair and it was all pulled to the side to flow down her front. Black pieces of lace were woven through out her hair as well. Behind a beautiful mask made of black lace were eyes the color of jade. Her skin was pale, perfect like a porcelain doll and her lips were blood red. The points of her ears occasionally peep through her long pale hair. Her gown was jet black, striking against her pale skin and hair. It flowed around her like smoke, seeming to actually be just what it seemed. The bodice was snug tight, with a sweet heart neckline and strapless. It was the color of her lips, matched to perfection. Around her neck was a necklace made of lace that clung to her skin and in her ears ruby studs.
Petting her bird it took flight to camp out in a tree, to wait for it's mistress to call when she was ready. When she started walking forward you could hear the click click of her red high heels on the cobblestone. Walking through the door she paused and looked around. The Dark Elf Queen Alice had arrived. Closing her eyes she felt the essence of everyone, noticing that there wasn't many people at the party yet. Opening them again she started forward. Turning a corner she came upon a women in a strapless dress (Juliet). "Hello there," Alice said with a smile.

Blinking in surprise, she watched the grown male suddenly start behaving much like her baby brother when he wanted something. Giggling a little, she decided to do the same thing she did with him; tilt her head, bring up her forefinger to rest against her cheek as if she were thinking about it, even though she was still grinning and giggling. "Alright. Lets go." She told him, already picking up part of her skirt since she figured in his excitement he'd be running to the ballroom and she didn't want to trip.

Grinning with unbridled excitement, the orange haired male tugged Lini behind him quickly. He couldn't wait to finally dance like he'd always wanted to! "This is going to be great, just you wait!" The carefree Kit was now running for the ballroom at full tilt after releasing Lini's hand. He didn't want to make her trip, but he also wanted to get to where he was going very quickly.

Laughing as she got tugged along for a bit, she had to pause and lean forward while resting one hand on her knee, breathing heavily a little bit. Lini just shook her head and followed him at a more sedate pace. Looking around, she admired the decorations, humming along softly to the music she was starting to hear. It really was beautiful, but she worried that the dancing may not be up to Kit's liking. If he was running, he probably preferred things with a faster beat, not things that people waltzed to. Finally reaching the ballroom, she whispered a soft 'wow' then went to trying to locate the hyper neko.

Bouncing around happily for a bit, Kit finally remembered about Lini. Turning around in circles the cat man tried to find her with his orange eyes. A grin spread across his face when he finally caught sight of the pink haired woman. Rushing over to her, he tugged her hand impatiently. "Do you know how to dance in a ballroom? Could you show me please*? I've never danced before, so I'm sorry if I step on your feet." It all came out in a rush. He really was excited about this. Even more so because there was someone here who actually didn't mind talking to him. No one was making him leave, or shouting at him ... Nope, so tonight was going to be great.

Magic, of course. Kash should have expected that as her answer. From the way she described it, it sounded very troublesome, tedious and unnecessarily difficult. That was the curse of being an underdeveloped place though. No space ships to zip you through hyper space with a warp drive. Kash shook his head a bit. "Sounds tedious and difficult. Ships make such travel a lot easier and probably faster." He ran a hand through his hair and glanced around. Looking at the other guests inside the room for a moment before his attention returned to Diella. Wasn't there anything he could say to get her to leave his side? Well, he wasn't really on a tight schedule. Maybe if more people arrived, it would be easier to slip away. Kash just smiled politely at her. "I don't understand why underdeveloped worlds are so, underdeveloped." He couldn't think of any other way to phrase it.

If she hadn't just been enjoying herself with the man, Diella would have smacked him. No, more likely she would have challenged him to a duel for his words. "Simply because our ways are different and our technology less advanced, it does not mean the worlds are underdeveloped!" Green eyes blazing, the young woman tried very hard not to let her magic run free. That had always been her problem you see. Diella had a temper, and sometimes she let it go . This wasn't the time or place for the devastation that could cause. It was perfectly suited for battle fields though.

Kash blinked and stared at her. Why was she getting so angry and defensive? "But, it does mean your worlds are underdeveloped. That doesn't mean that your worlds will never become more technologically advanced. It just means at the moment, they aren't very advanced." Kash shrugged. "Some underdeveloped worlds make giant leaps, and in just a few short centuries surpass all other technologically advanced worlds in technology advancement. Underdeveloped is not an insult. It's a fact." Kash crossed his arms across his chest and watched her calmly.

Everything Kash said was infuriating her more every moment. The man obviously didn't know what was good for him, then again he didn't know Diella. Her anger only amplified when he crossed his arms with that smug, in Diella's eyes, look. A tendril of wind whipped forward to grab his ankle and pull him up into the air, where he would hopefully hang upside down. "Some worlds want nothing to do with technology and prefer magic." The woman's voice was dangerously controlled and focused, a sure sign of how angry she was.

Kash wasn't being smug and he wasn't trying to piss Diella off. He was only telling her the truth. Really was it his fault she couldn't handle the truth? The pirate was completely startled when that tendril of wind wrapped around his ankle and pulled him up into the air. His instincts kicked in, and easily he phased through that tangible bit of wind that had grabbed him. His entire body looked a bit pale when he phased, and while he was still phased in the air Kash quickly righted himself. For a few moments he stared at Diella with a look of startlement and a glint in his eye that indicated if she attacked him, he would fight back. Slowly though Kash lowered himself to the floor his entire body returning to it's normal shade, he wasn't quite ready to slip through the floor yet. He had come down a little ways away from Diella. Being able to fly had it's perks.
"I'm sorry. I didn't realize the truth would make you so angry. Though I don't understand why it did. And some worlds do prefer magic, but eventually, even those worlds progress towards technology." He was frowning at her, and contemplating leaving. Really, nothing in this place could be worth dealing with an angry woman. "And underdeveloped is a technical term. Not an insult. It'd be an insult if I called worlds like that backwoods places and their inhabitants hicks. But I didn't. So calm down princess." Kash was firm, but he wasn't being mean. Yet.

Eyes widening, she forgot her anger as she watched Kash escape wind. That wasn't something Diella had expected at all! It was like he was a ghost... Walking towards him with curiosity, her anger returned at his words though not quite as strongly in light of what had just happened. "You don't seem to understand that in many cases these advances destroy worlds, taking away everything green and replacing it with concrete, with nothing but grey and stone." Moving forward Diella shoved him lightly in the chest, mostly out of curiosity.
"Now how in the worlds did you escape my winds? What do you posses, to allow you to do such a thing?" Kash was lucky indeed that Diella hadn't used her light to blind him. But she was a wind user, more then someone with abilities of light thought it was her second element. Half angry, and half curious, the dark haired woman regarded Kash quite seriously. There was a certain aura of confidence about her which she unconsciously exuded, though this was one case whereit was overwhelmed by other things. "Those aren't rhetorical questions Kash."

Kash blinked when she approached him and shoved him lightly in the chest. He was as solid as any other person. He watched her rather warily for just a few moments, mentally cursing himself for reacting automatically to being captured. Honestly he hadn't meant for her to know at all that he could do such a thing. "I know, technology destroys greenery and nice smelling flowers. I know that. It's one of the reasons why I visit underdeveloped worlds more than I should. I don't particularly like their lack of technology, but I do enjoy the abundance of flowers and flowing rivers." When she asked him how he had escaped her, Kash took a step back.
"I'm an alien, what do you expect? I'm not quite human, though I look identical to a human in every way. Also, I'm not sure what kind of alien I am, I never knew my real parents. I just have this ability to move through things, and fly." Well, might as well get the truth out there, well there was one other ability but he wasn't ready to divulge it yet. Hell, he hadn't wanted her to know he could phase and fly either. At least Diella seemed to be slightly less angry at him and a bit curious. Though, he didn't want her curious about him. She might start asking questions that he really couldn't answer.

Letting out a small 'eep' when he grabbed her hand and tugged her to the dancefloor, Lini laughed a little at his exuberance and question. Nodding in agreement, she agreed to try to teach him. She wasn't sure that he'd learn anything, but it never hurt to try. "I don't know how well a teacher I will be...But I will do my best." Lini looked down in thought, trying to come up with a way to teach him. Looking over to the dancefloor, she quietly pointed out some of the others that were dancing, pointing out how they held each other, the steps they took. "There is a pattern to dancing, you just need to find it. Sometimes its found best in here." At that point, she pointed toward his heart, making sure not to actually touch him. Turning her back to the dancefloor, she held her arms out towards him, smiling. "Now why don't you try?"
