Yeah there was no go and if there was he obviously had it out for him Wayne swore to himself by the end of the class. So the total so far was that he was living with her, had a class with her, and now was paired up for a project with her.Letting his forehead rest against the top of his desk. He wondered if that higher being who hated him also had a sick sense of humor. Letting out a sigh he gathered up his things and looked around the room. Lizzy had already darted out of the room before him. Well it wasn't like he didn't know where she would be tonight.
making his way out of the class he dug his scheduled out of the stack of papers and two notebooks. He had a two hour break before his tennis class. Why he was taking tennis was beyond him but he needed a kinesiology and there was no way he was getting up early enough for the track and field class. And golf wasn't even an option. Shoving the wrinkled paper into his back pocket he looked up and down the hall way trying to remember which way he needed to go to get to the cafe.

During the walk to the cafe, Elizabeth closed her eyes and tried to focus on something other than school. But there wasn't much else to keep her mind off of her current situation. She ordered her food and started walking to a table near the windows. Her mind went to the outside as she sat her tray down before seating her book bag down on the floor beside her. The blonde pulled out a book and started to read as she tried to flee from reality while starting to nibble on her lunch.

Crossing his arms behind his head Wayne made his way through the crowd of students gathered in front of the cafe. He had just enough time to grab some real food then make his way back to his room so he could change in to some work out clothes. He had a feeling that his current outfit of jeans and a old t-shirt wasn't the best from running around a tennis court. Since he didn't see a racket on Lizzy's side of the room he was hoping that it was one place she wasn't going to pop in at.feeling his pocket buzz he fished out his cell as he flashed his student idea to the sour looking woman behind the register. Wayne let out a tired sigh as Eric's name flashed across his screen along with the icon for an incoming text. He didn't even want to imagine the harassing text his best friend had sent.
Eric had once had a slight crush on the oh so popular Lizzy and no doubt found the fact that Wayne was not only going to school with her but they were sharing a room as some unfunny cosmical joke.Wayne had to agree. If it was a joke it sure wasn't funny.

Elizabeth continued to sit and read as her food slowly disappeared into her mouth. She was reading the last romance book by on of her favorite authors. Her eyes were glued to the pages as two enemies were forced to work together to protect their villages from a hoard of ogres. But the two started to become something besides enemies...The brunette looked up and thought for a moment of the situation that the characters were going through how similar it was to the book she was reading.
Suddenly, her phone started to alert her that her next class was going to start in a few minutes. She looked at the time and put her book back in her bag and head towards the theatre. Elizabeth hoped that her theatre class could distract her from reality for a few hours.

Filling his tray up with two cheese burgers and some fries the college freshmen balanced his try and his books while he tried to fill up a cup with Coke. It was proving slightly problematic. And his phone kept beeping in his pocket letting him know that he had yet to answer his text. Finally after performing a somewhat juggling act he had managed to get his food and drink to a close table. Dropping down into his seat Wayne pulled out his phone. As he had though it was from Eric but instead of him whining it was a picture of his dorm room. After a quick response he dug into his breakfast/lunch.
Once food had been eaten and he had changed into a pair of basket ball shorts and a work out top Wayne made his way to the far side of campus where the courts were held.

The hours passed by as Elizabeth got lost in finishing her theatre homework. She auditioned for a part in the school play to distract herself from all the drama with Wayne. Elizabeth walked back to the dorm and started to write down things she already knew about Wayne for their assignment. Her eyes closed as she tried to remember back to when she first met Wayne and her friends. She remembered a scene where some guys in middle school were picking on her for her new braces. He stepped up for her and scared the guys into never picking on her again. Elizabeth fell asleep at the happy memory and laid there on her bed surrounded by her notebook. Her phone had no new messages.
She woke up on Friday and looked around before standing to go to use the bathroom. Her eyes a bit blurry as she adjusted her clothes that she slept in. Elizabeth brushed out her hair before she decided to get in the shower.

Finally the last class of the week was over. Stepping out of the room Wayne stretched his arms above his head feeling his shoulders pop. His last class had been some Mass Comms class that he had barely paid attention to. It had nothing to do with his major and there for the black haired freshmen had written it off as a useless class. Waving to some of the friends he had made, the tall blond boy who he had two other classes with and a red haired girl that he had sat by in class, he made the long walk across campus to his dorm. He should have gone out to grab lunch with the other two, Kate and Tim, but really he would have much preferred a nap over greasy fast food. With that thought in mind he hope Lizzy was out doing anything else. As long as she wasn't in the room.
Not that living with her was as bad as he thought it would be. Their schedules kept them mostly apart aside from the few classes they shared. At night a pair of head phones and he could block out anything while he worked on homework. However now it was the weekend and with out class to distract them, and both of them lacking a car they were stuck on campus. 'hey tom it's bob from the office down the hall' Johnathan Coulton's eat your brains since Eric and his first annual zombie movie marathon. Hitting the answer button on his phone he greeted his long time friend." Hey dude".

Elizabeth walked back towards her room, holding her books to her chest. Her eyes on the sidewalk as she listened to the music in her ears. She had some homework to do before the weekend was over and she wanted to get it out of the way. The brunette didn't care if Wayne was already in the room, she had come to ignore him. As she walked into her temporary dorm building, Elizabeth looked around for Wayne before walking up to their door and unlocking it. She wasn't hungry just yet so her focus was her homework.
If she kept up her workload, maybe she could graduate on time. Her parents would be happy and so would Wayne because he'd probably never see her again. Something though sent pain through her chest as she thought of that. But why would that hurt her? He obviously didn't care if she was there or not. And why would she care what he thought anyway? She sat on her bed and sighed before closing her eyes.

" Dude that's awesome. How far are you now?" Pushing open his dorm room door Wayne tossed the books he had in his hand on his bed with out a care if they landed there or not. Kicking the door shut behind him he dropped into the chair at is desk to finish his conversation with Eric. " Okay your about thirty minutes away let me know when you are outside of Lund and I'll come let you in." Hanging up the phone he opened up his laptop and waited for it to turn on. This was just what he needed his best friend crashing for the weekend after the first week of school. Apparently Eric's college was only an hour and a half away.
Looking over at the occupied other side of his dorm he figured he should let her know. It was one of the rules they had set up on moving day. "Oh Lizzy Eric called he's crashing here for the weekend." He figured at some point today they'd go buy an air mattress or something for him to sleep on. Not that he thought Eric would mind kicking him off of his own bed.

She looked to the door as Wayne walked into the room and threw his books at his bed. Elizabeth scowled at him as he slammed the door by kicking it. Her eyes went to her laptop as she started to work on her homework. The brunette had written down everything she knew about Wayne but she did not have enough information about him to finish the assignment. "Great. Just what I didn't need. Another boy to annoy me." Elizabeth said as she put her headphones in and sighed. His nickname for her just made her a bit more annoyed. She had nothing to distract her from Wayne and his friend but homework. And that wouldn't take her that long to finish.
Elizabeth tried to bury herself into her homework as she read for her classes on Monday. She remembered Eric, her friends told her to ignore him since he hung out with Wayne. The thought of being trapped in her room with two boys for the weekend made her sad and the only place she could hide was her room.

Choosing not to ignore Lizzy's little comment Wayne shot back with just as much annoyance, "Well why don't you just spend the weekend with one of your little princess fri3ends." If she was going to be such a downer. He hadn't seen Eric all summer and not to get mushy or anything but the boy had been his best friend since middle school. He had missed him. Stupid summer camp in the middle of no where that Eric just had to work at. Rolling his eye at the thought of his friend's reason for the getting the job; a busty blond coed counselor. Opening up his laptop he figured he'd up date his statues and see what his other friends had been up to.
Twenty minutes later the buzzing of his phone let him know that his best friend was here. " He's here." He called out before heading out of the room and down the stairs. The lobby of their building was was clean with way too much white for Wayne's taste but what did he know about interior design. Pushing open the large wooded doors Wayne scanned the visitor parking in the from to the old familiar red Pontiac caught his eye. Waving to the driver of the car Wayne a laugh tore from Wayne's throat.
" Oh Wayny-poo I miss you"Eric Slammed the drivers side door shut as he ran up the steps to meet Wayne, screaming like a fool the whole way. Eric had always been the more outgoing of the two. Where Wayne held an air of disinterest and some annoyance Eric was a walking talking ball of jokes and self confidence. Throwing one arm around his black haired friends shoulders the blond asked, " So is our little princess up in her room?" He should have known that the blond was going to use this time to flirt with Lizzy. " Follow me." brushing the arm off of him he turned and headed up the stairs.

Her eyes went to Wayne as he asked about her "friends" and sighed for an answer. "They're not talking to me." Elizabeth said softly so he couldn't hear her. She had sent them text after text with no answer as well as messages on Facebook. But her homework was her top priority at the moment. The brunette just worked quietly as she listened to the All-American Rejects and typed away on her laptop. When Wayne left, Elizabeth decided to take a break from her homework and watch a movie on her laptop. She focused on her laptop screen while trying to relax and enjoy watching 'Blazing Saddles'. The movie made her laugh a little bit but it didn't help much.
Elizabeth laid there on her bed in the outfit she wore to her classes. A white skirt with white stockings and a navy blue shirt that showed the top of her chest. Her long brown hair back in a ponytail as she dreaded when Wayne came back with his friend. She just wanted to leave the room but there was no where she could camp out for long. So she waited for Wayne and his friend to return to the room.

Pushing open his dorm room door Wayne let Eric walk in first as he finished up his story, " So by then he can't even walk straight but he still makes it up to the roof, which really you have to give the dude props for. And everything was cool till he decided to lean over to puke. Guy just tumbled off the side of the roof right into the pool." Finishing his story with the splash sound effect Eric had Wayne in near tears.
"Dude our school is nothing like that." Finally realizing that yeah they were in his room which meant so was Lizzy. Dropping down on his bed he waved a careless hand in her direction. "You remember me telling you about my roommate. Our old friend Lizzy." there was a sarcastic twinge to friend. He knew she was going to be all pouty the whole weekend and Eric was going to want to include her. Without her gathering of friends he was sure that the blonde thought he had a chance. The idea of Eric and Lizzy together left a bad taste in his mouth. Obviously because he was looking out for his friend. He couldn't possibly care who got stuck as the princesses is boyfriend.
Eric moved away from the doorway not bothering to care about Wayne's attitude. He really had come here to see his friend it wasn't hi fault that he got a chance to flirt with one of the prettiest girls from their high school at the same time. It really wasn't fair that someone like Wayne who didn't appreciate how cute she was got to live with their schools princess. " Hey Elizabeth. I see you haven't changed. Glade a week living with this lazy douche hasn't damaged you too much."

Elizabeth looked up as the door opened for Wayne with Eric, a total hunk in her own personal opinion. She looked at Eric for a moment and pulled out her ear buds as she realized how cute she forgot he was. Her cheeks betrayed her with a slight blush as he spoke to her. "Hello, Eric. I see you haven't changed either. No, Wayne's just his mean, old self. He made me cry once but I try to forget he is here." The brunette said as she took a glance at Wayne but kept her attention on Eric. "How was your summer, Eric? Enjoying your school?" Elizabeth couldn't remember why her "friends" had said to ignore a cutie like Eric except for the fact he was friends with, their opinion, a no-body like Wayne. The princess brushed a lock of hair behind her ear as she waited for Eric's answers.

Widening his eyes Eric covered his heart and let his face fall into mock shock. Truly he was a little surprised that Wayne had went as far as to make her cry. Sure he knew his friend didn't like that girl, something he just never understood, but to make her cry. " Well let me apologies for the rudeness of my friend. A true man should never be the cause of such a pretty girls tears." His face slipped into his default flirty smile. Behind him Wayne wanted to gag." There are somethings about you that would bring your 'manhood' in to question, jerk face." He called out from his spot on the bed. He couldn't believe Eric was flirting with her...or well he could. But that Lizzy was actually all blushing and acting like some...some...little girlie princess. Gah it made him sick. he never really saw he like this. Mostly because he got to see her all aggravated and sometimes a little taunting. Not that he wanted to see her being all girlie.Leaning his head back against the wall he smirked at the look Eric threw him.He knew his friend wasn't really mad at him.
Lizzy on the other hand would probably take Eric to seriously and then he'd have to listen to her gush about him all semester. He would not be leaving them alone this weekend.

She watched his face as Eric looked to his friend. Elizabeth blushed a bit more as he apologized for Wayne and smiled at her. Her eyes went to Wayne as he make that remark about his friend and scowled. "Hey. That's no way to talk about your friend! You are the one who needs to question your manhood." With all the drama of her own "friends", she couldn't stand for watching someone abuse their own friends. The brunette looked at Eric and smiled as she stood. "Why don't we leave grumpy here and go for a smoothie?" Elizabeth said to Eric as she walked towards the door and waited to see if Eric was up for it.
Her eyes went to Wayne as she scowled at him again for his remark. Eric was a nice guy and cute to boot, so why did he have to be so mean to everyone? Was it because he was a pessimist or what?

Jumping up off his bed Wayne walked right over to Lizzy. No way was she going to just take off with his best friend. So they went to high school together she didn't even know the guy.He thought she was smarter then that. Again not that he cared who she went off with so long as it wasn't his best friend. " It's rude to exclude your room mate Lizzy."Her name was thrown in just to get a reaction out of her. Remind himself that this flirty girl in front of him was still the same little princess that irritated him so.
" And I just so happen to loves smoothies. Eric come on." from his spot behind the two Eric could only watch. Fights between two of the smartest people in their school had always been amusing. And since the two were so different, Elizabeth so cute and driven and Wayne lazy and rude, the fights were never about their smarts." Uh isn't it rude to just invite yourself somewhere dude." His only answer was a glare. Wayne could be so touchy sometimes. But really Elizabeth had invited hi out and now he had a chance. Best friend or not Wayne was not getting in the way.

Her eyes went to Wayne as he jumped off the bed and walked over to her. Elizabeth narrowed her eyes at Wayne as he accused her of being rude to him. He did not think about all the times he had been rude to her in high school or since they got to college. "You've been rude to me since we met in middle school!" She yelled at him as her hands clenched as her eyes stayed on Wayne.
Elizabeth had never been so angry before the only person to make her angry or cry was Wayne. That kind of made her angry at herself and no one had ever made her feel that way but him. "If we want to go get a smoothie without you, Wayne, we can." The brunette said as she grabbed her purse and opened the door. Her eyes went to Eric but felt bad for making him choose between his best friend and her but she wanted someone to talk to about things.

"Last time I checked Eric was my friend. Not yours." This was the Lizzy he was use to. Not the crying little girl from their first day living together and not the blushing thing that had been talking to his best friend. His Lizzy was all angry and full of her self just like the princess she was. Stopping that train of thought a look of utter shock and then personal disgust crossed his face. His Lizzy she may be a lot of thing, his rival, his annoyance but not his Lizzy. Taking a few steps back from her he shrugged as if that thought had not just invaded his mind, " Eric wouldn't want to go with you anyway." In all honesty Eric felt more like a piece of meat being fought over.
"Dude it's cool I'll go grab a smoothie and catchup. I'm sure you've got some crazy complicated homework you need to do anyway. Then I'm all yours." Walking by his friend he threw him a ' what are you doing ' look. He had had a thing for their school princess for a while now and Wayne was going to blow it for him. "After you Elizabeth." He geastured for the door. Wayne stood there looking slack jawed.

Elizabeth scowled at Wayne as he spoke to her and spoke for Eric. "Eric is his own person. You shouldn't speak for your friends without asking them first. It's rude but I guess that's all you are." He always called her a princess and she hated it but right now she felt like a witch. And not the one with the warts and hat. Her eyes went to Eric as he stepped in and told Wayne he wanted to go with her for a smoothie.
She smiled at Eric and then smirked at Wayne as she walked out the door of the room before waiting for Eric. The brunette smiled at his shocked expression on his face before looking at Eric. "I'm so sorry, Eric. I should have known that he would have been so rude. I don't know what his problem is." Elizabeth blushed as she looked at Eric and brushed a lock of hair behind her ear. Her blue eyes on the blonde cutie in front of her.

" He's just being Wayne." Waving off his friends behavior Eric did ponder it for a second. Wayne though blunt and rude had never been out right mean to her. or At least Eric had never seen him be. He would tease her and get under her skin but he seemed to have more fun riling her up then hurting her. He probably was feeling all jealous cause he had to share his friend. " Well enough about mister grouchy pants. How was your summer?" He asked smiling down at her. He didn't know her too well, his friendship with Wayne kind of labeled him to her he was sure. His crush had solely been based on the fact that she was cute and stood up for her self with his friend.
Wayne kicked the base of his bed before flopping face down into his comforter. No way did that just happen. His best friend did not just walk out the door with his arch enemy. for what ever reason he thought that Eric was a lot more loyal then that.

She nodded as she started walking down the hallway with Eric and sighed. "Yeah." Elizabeth wondered though if Eric knew why Wayne hated her so much but she decided to keep Eric out of their argument. Her eyes went to Eric as he changed the subject for her and smiled at him as she walked next to him. "Well, my parents took me on vacation to Greece and Italy but that was the only eventful thing that happened this summer." Her gaze went to the floor as they walked out of the building. Even during her graduation party, Elizabeth's parents were working and socializing with their friends. None of her friends showed up. But Elizabeth tried to bring her focus back to the handsome boy walking next to her. "What about you?" She asked as she smiled at him.

Following where she led Eric pushed the probably pouting Wayne from his mind. "That must have been a blast. I just worked at a summer camp." It had been a job and it payed decent. In the end it had been kind of fun. He did owe his tan to that job so he couldn't really complain. " How was Greece and Italy? I've always wanted to see Venice."She wasn't nearly as hostile as Wayne always made her out to be.In fact she was just as sweet as she was cute. He was really going to have to punch Wayne in the face the first time they were alone. His stupid pigheadedness had cost Eric a chance at getting to know her earlier.

Her eyes went to Eric as she listened to him and shrugged. "It was not as good as the first my parents took me. But it was beautiful there." Elizabeth smiled and pictured the landscapes of both countries even though she had images of them on her camera. "That sounds like fun." She said wondering what summer camp was like being her parents had never let her go to one. "It's like stepping back in time to when the days were filled with art, food, and just living life. Like living in the Renaissance. " The brunette said as she looked back up at him and wondered how he got stuck with Wayne as a friend. Eric was caring, kind, and he listened to what she had to say.
As they walked, they got closer to the cafe and Elizabeth walked up to the door and reached to open the door for them. "This place also makes decent food if you're hungry." She had skipped lunch so she was probably going to get a smoothie and something to eat.

"Sounds like it was nice. How many times have you been?" Everyone in the school had known that the Kennedy's were wealthy. Elizabeth wasn't known as their school princess just because she was pretty and smart. Moving ahead of her his hand pushed open the door before her shorter arm could reach it." Ladies first." The smell coming from the cafe almost tempted him to forget that he had stopped at McDonald's on his way here. He had figured that Wayne would have already eaten." I think a smoothie would be fine for now." The cafe was smaller then the one at his college but looked a lot nicer.
" So does any one else from school go here?"Wayne hadn't mentioned it but that boy had played ho scotch with the line for number of days you were allowed to miss before they just flat out kicked you out.So it wouldn't be a big surprise if he just didn't know many people who had gone to their school. That was what he never got about his friend. Dude was smart, probably as smart as Elizabeth, but he put in zero effort if it didn't interest him and still he had gotten into a better college.
