Calix followed Nathaniel out, pausing only once to glance over his shoulder, glowering at the King. There was no point putting up pretenses when the man already knew who he was. Finally he stopped beside Nathaniel, watching him in silence. He wouldn't apologise, he had nothing to feel sorry for, but he did his best to at least look sympathetic.

Shrugging, Calix nodded. "Yeah, a bit, it's been a long day and travelling to get to the coronation on time wasn't exactly fun...You'd think we'd have better transport then what I had to put up with." He grimaced a little, making a mental note to try and work on that. While he didn't ask, Calix did leave the question hanging in the air. What was going to happen now? Nathaniel was supposed to be with a woman, and Calix sure wasn't going to be in the same bed as the other man. If need be he'd sleep on the floor.

The King watched them go but sighed softly, he knew there was trouble brewing. He was just too tired to figure it out, he wrote a letter to Nathaniel describing everything that he knew about Calix and his family. But he didn't die yet.

Nathaniel look at him. "I will have a room set up for you." he replied, "You still haven't told me where you're from. I think I need to know." he added, frowning at Calix slightly.

Calix gazed at him quietly before nodding, smiling gently. Finally the other prince asked, well, stated his question again and he looked suddenly mischievous. "Have you ever heard of the Shadow lands? Often stories from those lands travel to others, maybe you've heard of a couple?" He asked, not quite willing to say whether he actually came from them or not. At least, not yet, Calix was having fun toying with the other Prince.

As he started walking, glancing around curiously, he stretched up much like Nathaniel had done earlier, his back curving to get any aches or kinks out of it. While Calix could say he was looking forwards to sleep, he wouldn't be able to straight away. He had to sort out a couple more things first.

Nathaniel started to walk with Calix, nodding slowly. "Yes I believe so." he replied. "I mean, I've heard a few stories that it's built under my kingdom and about the Prince of Theives..." he added. "Is that what you mean?" he asked, looking at the other Prince.

They were walking towards where his wing of the castle was, Nathaniel knew there was a room across from his that Calix could use for that night.

Calix nodded slowly, considering affirming any suspicions. Finally, he smirked slightly. "Yes it is. For the record though, the title is only for show, the only thing I have ever stolen it seems, is that kiss of yours, and it wasn't all that bad." He teased, seeming completely at ease with his words.

Glancing back to Nathaniel, he frowned a little. "Do you, by chance, know what type of beings inhabit the Shadow Lands?" Calix finally answered, curious to know just how much Nathaniel knew about him, without even knowing he had.

Nathaniel shook his head. "Not exactly, I suppose beings like yourself and the young lady I was dancing with?" he asked, cocking his head to the side. He had figured out that much, and the fact that Calix wasn't just a Prince but the Prince of Thieves himself.

He laughed softly, thinking briefly back to the black haired lady who had assisted him into his current position. "Ah yes, a dear aqquaintance of mine, it took quite the large amount of money to persuade her to come. You seem to install some sort of wish to protect rather then betray yourself and your family, in others that is." He answered before pretending to stifle a yawn as they arrived at what he guessed would be their rooms. Turning to Nathaniel, he gazed silently at him, no longer looking joking. "I want you to understand, that despite my title, I am in no way a thief, nor a criminal, do not think badly of me because of it, or those I rule over. Are these are rooms?" He said in a soft voice. Lies lies lies! They would all be proud of me though, if only they could see, or hear! Similar thoughts were running through his mind at that moment.

Nathaniel nodded slowly. "Alright, well let's continue this conversation tomorrow I suppose." he replied. "Yes this is your room. Goodnight." the Prince told his fiance, nodding before he went into his room. 'How could this happen?' he thought to himself, undressing and getting prepared for bed. 'I can't get married to another male, I don't think I swing that way... he continued to think before he got into bed, hoping the next day would bring better news.

Calix nodded and waved good bye to Nathaniel, a surprisingly, almost child like action, before he too headed into his room. Sighing, he wiped a hand briefly over his forehead before slipping off the cloak and the scarf. Looking around at the nice room, he smirked to himself as he quickly ducked down, crouching low to stash away the cloak with its own numerous hidden weapons beneath the bed. Finally he strode to the window, gently pushing it open. Calix never saw the sky unless he came above ground, he enjoyed gazing at it, it was so beautiful to him. Whistling softly, he seemed to wait for a couple of moments before nodding and closing the window and returning to the bed.

The only noise that had been heard in the night was the sound of a bird call, almost responding to his own whistle. He didn't have anything to change into so collapsed into the bed and closd his eyes, knowing he wouldn't sleep, his mind was too busy. No, he would wait for the next day, he couldn't wait to see what it would hold.

Nathaniel slept heavily that night, trying to think of ways for this wedding not to fall through. His father's health was waning, he would be gone any day now and Nathaniel was expected to rule in his stead.

He woke up the next morning with the dawn barely peaking over the horizon. He got up and prepared for his usual morning rituals, thinking that what happened at the coronation that last night was dream and that he actually had a female bride waiting for him. After bathing and getting dressed, he went down stairs to have breakfast just as the sun was making its way above the horizon. A maid was sent to wake up Calix and ready him for breakfast as well, extra clothes were brought to his room for him to wear.

He woke up with a jerk, sitting up with wide, panicked eyes. Turning around swiftly, Calix was ready to attack the intruder of his room, when he realised it was only a maid. Still with his heart beating at a hundred miles per hour, he smiled apologetically to her, running a hand through his messy hair. Gratefully taking the clothes, he waited for her to leave the room before going to bathe and changing quickly. Gently folding his old clothes, Calix stared at them fondly. They were patchwork, faded and fraying, but he wouldn't let the maid take them away to be replaced. Instead he tucked it under the bed as he had done with his cloak. Hopefully they wouldn't look there, or they'd find several of his weapons.

Now that he was ready, trying to neaten his hair a little, Calix left the room, surprised to see the maid still waiting there. Well, she did have to take him to breakfast. He was led into the same room Nathaniel was, and smiled in greeting to him. In fact, Calix was fairly tempted to give him another kiss, just to tease, make sure the other prince hadn't forgotten, but he settled on a mischievous grin instead as he sat beside Nathaniel. "Mornin' hun, did you sleep well?"

The maid smiled kindly at him and waited by the door to take him to breakfast. Nathaniel was waiting for him, the table was lined with different breakfast foods. Bacon, ham, eggs, pancakes, waffles, etc.. pretty much anything you can think of that you would want for breakfast, it was there. "Morning...." he replied, grimacing when he called him hun. He was almost tempted to laugh when Calix talked to him like this.

He was still smiling to Nathaniel, though he paused to thank the maid who had brough him here again, after all, it was only right to be polite. Finally he turned to look at what food had been laid out before them, and his jaw fell open. It was only a small amount, but enough at the same time to be comical. For Calix, breakfast was what ever could be scrounged together in the morning (if he was working) or it was simple things. He never ate much during the morning anyway. Staring at it, he glanced to Nathaniel, as if asking if it was alright to start eating. The other Prince hadn't complained when he'd been called 'hun' though, so Calix took that as a good thing. It meant he could be more daring later. The idea of teasing Nathaniel brought a ghost of a smirk to his lips.

A slightly evil thought crossed Nathaniels mind. 'Two can play at this game...' he thought to himself. "Eat up my dear, I want my fiance to be nice and healthy." he said, smirking as he grabbed his plate and began filling it up all kinds of food. It wasn't like Nathaniel liked the idea, but he wasn't going to just roll over and play dead. Maybe those lessons he was taking to learn how to have a back bone would finally pay off.

Calix looked very shocked to hear those words come out of Nathaniel's mouth. He stared at him, perhaps attempting to figure out if he had been possessed during his sleep, before blushing a little and turning away. So the little prince did have some back bone after all. This would become much more interesting to him now. Slowly he reached out, taking similar foods to Nathaniel, but in small portions. When he had chosen what he wanted, he stared at the food suspiciously. It wouldn't be the first time someone had poisoned the food, especially considering where he lived and who he ruled over. Calix decided instead to wait for Nathaniel and, if the other prince didn't drop dead, then it would be safe for him to eat as well.
