I just got to watch The Secret World of Arrietty, and I thought it would be fun to do my own take on the whole borrowers idea. Kind of going of the movie in a way, so it would go under fan based roleplays. Alright so here is my idea...
After finding out that their son is ill, a family moves away from the city to the country thinking the fresh air will do him some good. They find a beautiful old country home that seems just perfect for them. Little do they know, the house is already occupied. A family of bowwowers lives under the house, and has been there for generations. The family is getting along well, and the house is comming along nicely, when one by one slight things start to disappear. At first the family thinks it is the cat, but the son soon discovers there is more going on then meets the eye. The son meets the daughter of the borrower's family, and they begin sneaking out to meet and become good friends. Things are going great, until on one of their adventures they discover that a group of men who are well known as workers in the farm next door are actually robbers who are planning to rob the place while the family is away. The two try to tell their families, but both end up getting ignored and in trouble, the son for straying so far when he is ill, and the female borrower for being around and seen by the big people. She goes to visit the son and tells him that she has been forbidden to see him again, but dosn't want to lose her friend. They make a plan to go spy on and get proof of the robbers, not wanting to just sit by and do nothing. It goes well, until during their watch, the two get discovered. Not aware of the borrower, the men capture the son and are debating on what to do with him since he has seen them. During this time the stress is causing his illness to get worse, and it is up to the little borrower girl to go get help. She knows her family wont be able to do much, the only thing to do is get her family to help and the big people as well.
