Potato-Sepia sat comfortably among his friends in his home-drawer in the cool and dry land of Refrigidaria. It was a peaceful day, just like any other ... Until the dreaded giants unsealed the ancient and sacred gates of Refrigidaria. They large unwashed hands grabbed at anything they could find, King Milk and Tomato town were ravaged first. But then they came for the drawer. The drawer where all the potatoes dwelled. Potato-Sepia struggled to roll and bumble his way to the back of the drawer, but to no avail. The uncomfortably warm and sweaty hands of one of the giants grasped him around his torso and lifted him high above his drawer-village. He gave it one last look, before the other potato-survivors were safely closed away in their drawer.
Potato-Sepia kept his cool and showed no weakness when whisked by the giants to a large twin-lake, however, the lake seem to be all dried up and the slick silvery sides and bottom of it were visible. No sooner than he saw the dried twin lakes, Potato-Sepia was dangling over the middle of the desolate silvery depths. Moments later water burst forth from the heavens in a powerful stream and Potato-Sepia was rubbed and scrubbed for what seemed like hours until he was finally laid down on a hard surface. The giant had left him and crossed the canyon between what Potato-Sepia had heard were called "counters."
Wobbling and rolling, Potato-Sepia knew what was coming now. He had heard these tales of horror and terror only as a young spud. With no success, and seeing the giant returning across the canyon, Potato-Sepia locked his jaws and set his mind towards death.
No scream or whimper escaped him as he was skinned alive, chopped into large course pieces and thrown into a boiling pool.
Potato-Sepia was a potato no more. He was now, through pain and agony, POTATO-SALAD-SEPIA. And his name was rumored through the land from ages on as the bravest potato there ever was.

After that dreadful event, Whered-sama-potato's own generation had been set free, along with the future generations. Also because of that one brave used to be spud

The normal ones shapeshifting into wolves. Can be larger than usual but otherwise there's no big monstrous kind of thing.
