Firesheep is cool --
They had Bronze Age type items too, well they could either be Bronze Age or psuedo Roman, but still fun.
I don't know about the St. Pat's item. I can't tell what it is. I mean, I can't tell what the pet is.

Thank you. Personally I prefer the Trade Culture of Venice or the Fishing Villages of Japan. The house I live in used to be Olive/Army Green.

;)
Those are very neat cultures that would be exciting to see done well. I've read a lot on old Constantinople and Venice was a big player at the time of the Fall and I think Japanese fishing villages are interesting. I've never been that into medieval times or renaissance of western europe very much. But, I do enjoy history, so they'll do if that's the only game in town, so to speak.

I just like to explore and I think those cultures where more into trade and not into conquering.

That is true -- and we love shopping at avi sites!
Now I'm really sad I never got into computer art and stayed more traditional. I just was always so busy. D= Now I feel I could have brought something cool to life, lol.

I wish I could draw better. All I can draw are Star Maps. I just like buying stuff that I normally can't get either by lack of funds or geography.

Over on Zan, they have a "dream avatar creator" built right into the site - and it's cool all to see all the items and put them together so easily. Yeah, yeah, it's not a new idea. But they do have some pretty good sets, or items that can be thrown together in a good color scheme. I made one the other day... but it'd be impossible to attain.
I don't like that everything is expensive. It's even worse than here - which was pretty difficult - you start with nothing. Here, I can play games. There? I have to fish or mine or something and I can only do it a handful of times until I "run out of energy" and to replenish that I "need to eat" but to eat I need to "spend money" that I earned from the activity. Wait. Wasn't that money supposed to go to buying clothes? I stopped playing immediately. It wasn't even playing.
I went back there recently, like I said, and I was glad to see that they'd changed the way energy worked a little... and that it can be regained by wandering around... but it still wasn't enough to buy anymore than better looking underwear.

Well...I'm a mod there,or as we say it,a knight.
I must admit that I joined Mene before I joined Zan,but I still made a home there and not here. Why that happened,I have no idea. xD
And Alex(the new owner) is really not that bad,he just needs to listen to his staff a bit more. ^_^
I am very partial to the community there, because over these two years that I have been there,I made a lot of awesome friends who don't really frequent other sites...and I must admit,I am partial to Zan's avatars and pixels.I was always keen on simple avatars, not too much color or too many layers, and on Zan,I can do that.
Naturally,it has issues,but which avi site doesn't?
I still think that if we stick around and try to make things work, they'll work out eventually. ^_^
Call me an idealist.I'm silly like that. xD

Axel does seem to be doing a pretty good job with getting things fixed up, I just get the impression that he hasn't really got his head around how avatar sites work yet. Hence the giving people event items for just logging in then going away again, and the utter madness of a donation item that was only available for one week
Our previous owner wanted to do that too, funnily enough during Valentine's Day last year, but we managed to drum into his head what a terrible idea it was.

That's precisely what his problem is.We told him that that's not a good idea, but he just didn't listen. xD
But he's getting better at that now. ^_^

We learned with Lee that he had to learn from his mistakes, really, most of the time he seriously didn't believe what we were trying to tell him. For people with no concept of things like a forum having items and an economy, they tend to look at things such as really limited donation items as a sure-fire winner. They can't see that hardly any will de bought in such a short space of time, and those that are will inflate hideously and become prime offsiting fodder at a later date. (the fun we had trying to explain what offsiting was to Lee =_=).
Thankfully, because he didn't have time to be here all the time and make us impliment his not so sensible suggestions, we didn't xD
I'm glad Alex is getting the hang of things more now, that learning curve can be painful when it's affecting the site's coffers.

I was a member of Zan when it first started but I kinda forgot the web address. I went back in 2007 but I didn't really like it all that much and when I found out about Mene I was here in a flash.
