Steam has a nice selection of Mac compatible games. I know Borderlands 2 is one of them! I'm not sure about the free game Team Fortress 2, but it could be.

I don't use a Mac personally but I was going to suggest looking on Steam. Some of the games let you play on all the supported platforms with one purchase. The Humble Store lets you browse by Mac games as well.

I have a mac too, I know it's hard to find games for Mac. But... Sims3 works alright, minecraft and World of Warcraft and Diablo3 work on Mac too.

Depends on your tastes. Personally, I've always loved the Escape Velocity series, though all but the newest game, Nova, are only compatible with older versions of Mac OS. It's a shame, really, because the previous game, Override, had some of the best mods in the series. However, there are mods that allow you to play the previous games in the series using the Nova engine (you just can't get the mods for those games). Still, great space sim to kill some time on.

I would suggest Sims games. Also Zoo Tycoon. I know personally I enjoy it, and there are some really fun quirks cheats on it like the unicorn.
