No worries, Miro. xD The comment about "not-simple" wasn't negative, btw. I thought the wrapped look for the "bodice" area was beautiful. Yours was one of my favorites.

re: VMAs
When someone says to me, "Red Carpet" + "Hollywood" I always think Oscars unless it's specifically mentioned to include VMAs (which are music, not movies) or other award shows. That was the sort of curve I was judging on - the Oscars. Except in Aya's case, where she specified which red carpet her starlet was on. So I went looking to see what sorts of things were generally worn to Beijing's. :)

re: New challenge
Hoping for some good use of contrast and tone. :) And since the challenge specifies 1920s, I'm going to lean more towards historical.

technically your supposed to read everything before you start the contest lols.

Well I reread it several times. XD The first time I thought it meant that you could use the DAC to design your avi but you had to still buy the commons so I read it again and realized you could enter the DAC version.

About the DAC. I knew we could enter DAC avis, but I saw most everyone was entering their own avis, so I decided to buy all the items for my entry in the previous challenge. XD I definitely like adding to my commons count.

It's hard to decide on what type of outfit I want to create. :O

I like what Maria-Minamino is doing so far. I have mine ready to go. I just need to do the write up for it.

i can't wait to see all of the entries.

And... I did like buying my own commons when I was on Project Mene too. You can only do so much with the MAC/DAC and it doesn't let you do any revision. I liked being able to make an avatar and then spend time adjusting it here and there. Plus, you can get rid of that pesky watermark... so it's win-win. x)

Yeah, I don't really watch awards shows or follow celebrities - but a lot of people in my Tumblr follow celebrities (particular ones from their favorite shows/their favorite music artist) and I do read fashion blogs sometimes. (And watch movies/shows/documentaries about Hollywood. xD )

I used to want to be an actress (like, in my early teens as most teenagers would). Then wanted to be a location scout or costume designer (still sort of do). Now, I don't know that I'd want to be part of the Hollywood lifestyle, but I do enjoy sometimes writing about it, so I keep my toe in from time to time. xD
