I can understand what you mean. :x I've just finished reading a couple chapters of a book we're to discuss in class on Tuesday. xDD;; I also just fixed some financial records and sponsorships for my organization, although I'm not completely done with those. D: Will have to resume them tomorrow morning though, as it's almost 1am and I'm a little tired from being out with family the whole day. ^^;; <3<3

Awww - I hope it all slows down soon! <3<3

I am -so- not excited about how much I have to read on this vacation. I have to basically finish the book we're reading, which is like, 1/2 the freakin book >.>
-hates my instructor-
Sooo I'm procrastinating it and working on my Philosophy final project instead XD;
It's drawing, so I enjoy it more ;)

The sad part is that it's only the start of the semester, meaning that this is the slowest that things can get for me. =__=;;

And ohh, sounds fun then~ :'D <3<3
I have a Victorian Literature class right now that involves a lot of reading, but we're reading about the likes of Jane Austen and etc, so it's actually really fun. :'> Even if the books the authors have written can be VERY long >3>;;

Yikesss - that sucks major :( <3

I wish we could read Jane Austen :gonk:
-has read nearly all of her work-

Haha - yeahhh - but their work is good, so you can't complain too much ;)

Well, at least it's not stressful. I'm just in a break mode still, so I'm not fully committed to schoolwork and organization work just yet, lulz. xDD;;

You can maybe take up a class on her? =O <3<3 Do they offer that over there?

And that's true. It just sucks that I have to read it in a "rush", you know? I like taking my time with my books and readings. ^^;;

Haha -snugs-
No stress is good :yes:

Nope :(
We don't have anything amazing like that :(
Sure, we have courses devoted to Chaucer and Shakespeare, but not Jane Austen :gonk:

Omg - me too - we have to rush EVERYTHING here T_T
It's ridiculous frankly :/

In my case reading Jane Austen fast wouldn't be a big deal if I've already read the books 'cause I'd just have to skim them to remember them, or just watch the movies to remember then and be like "Wait, that happened differently in the book! -skims that section-" :yes:

*hugglesquishes back*
Yes, no stress is good indeed. xDD;; <3<3

I see~ =O And actually, we don't have a course fully devoted to Jane Austen as well. ^^;; I mentioned earlier that this was for my Victorian Literature class. xDD;; Aside from Austen, we're reading up on Dickens, the Bronte sisters, and others. But they're the major writers we're talking about. :'>

Well, such is the nature of school, I guess. =__=;;

Lucky you then! XP I never finished Pride and Prejudice, actually. ^^;; I stopped midway? I think. Yeah. So now I have to reread everything if I want to remember stuff properly. xDD;;

No, I know that, my point was that we have every other amazing author, but nothing on just Jane Austen - she's just featured by name/reference - but no actual reading :P

I know, it started my senior year in high school haha
I hate it though~
I haven't enjoyed a single novel I've read - mainly because there's so much reading assigned that I have to skim it in order to finish it all on time~
And I honestly probably would have enjoyed a few of the novels :(

Hahaha - but at least you can reread everything and enjoy it :) <3

I see~ =O Aww, that sucks though! :x I think she should be discussed. Maybe you can suggest it or something then? ^^

True. :'< I feel the same way. But oh well? ^^;; Such is the nature of school. D: </3
I remember when I read Animal Farm when I was only in the fifth grade. xDD;; It was for my book report. I seriously thought it wasn't as deep and all as when I first read it. Good thing I reread it years and years later when I was more mature to understand its true underlying themes. ^^;;

I doubt they'll care what a Freshman wants to take/doubt they'll hire staff just for a Freshman :P
They'll probably tell me to either read her on my own time or to look for her off campus and take it through cross-register LOL

Hahaha!
We read that my Sophomore or Junior year :yes:
I think Sophomore :3
I lovedd that book~
I think if I knew the history around it, I would have understood it when I was younger~
(Was already reading books far too old for me)
So it would honestly depend on what context I knew before hand I think :3

Don't they take suggestions at all? o_o;; Sure, they may not agree, but I'd like to think that they're at least open to them, right? ^^;;

We never took it up officially in school, actually. I only read it for a book report because I thought it was simply all about animals, lolz. xDD;; And maybe that's why I didn't think too much on the story of Animal Farm back then. You're right, it depends on the context. ^^ In my case at the time though, I vaguely got what Animal Farm was about (communism and other aspects), but I couldn't grasp what I was reading completely back then. XP

I doubt it XD;
You'd have to go through all sorts of hoops to even get it heard by staff -- example, student councils and crap~

LOL
Well, being in 6th grade and expecting a book literally on animals on a farm without any hidden meanings probably didn't help much :P
That's just too funny that you thought it was all about animals XD;
And where you got it from (assuming it was a library of sorts?) didn't tell you it was much too old for you/that it wasn't what you were probably thinking it was?? :rofl:

Aww, that's too bad then. :x
Maybe if you're at least acquaintances with the professor? xDD;; It's his/her lesson plan after all, so if you suggest it kindly something might come of it. XP

I got it on my own, actually. My teacher back then eyed me weirdly and said that she thought it was very mature of me to pick such a book, but I didn't connect two and two together back then. xDD;; Oh well? XP

Btw, I'm almost halfway through Pride and Prejudice! :'D <3<3 I hope to finish it this weekend, since we have a discussion on the story by Tuesday, haha. xDD;;

LOL
Well, I don't have to take any English classes to graduate, and I don't know if I'll even have any time~
Besides, like I said - aside from a few generalized 100/200 level courses, they're all specialized on certain authors LOL
Soo - I don't think they'll be wanting to add another author to the list :P
It's nice in theory/thought, but won't happen in reality :(

No, I realize you picked it out hun lol
I meant you most likely didn't buy it and merely borrowed it for the project or whatever lol
The place where you got it from, which I assumed was a library unless you borrowed it from your teacher, should have told you it wasn't suitable for a 6th grader -- I mean, most people here would have hahaha
I remember when I was in 4th grade the librarians in my school, one of them actually being my Aunt, wouldn't let me take books out of any section but a certain group because it was appropriate for my age/grade level lol
-had that happen growing up until I finally convinced her to let me go to the other sections because I was returning the books from the section she made me read out of within an hour or so LOL-

Haha!
Have fun!!
What part are you at? <3
-lovesss that book/story-
That and Emma are my two favorite ones <3

Aww, real sad then. :x I guess it just never hurts to dream it can happen, right? ^^;; <3<3

No, I bought it for myself, I think. But really, I can't remember for sure. D: My copy is still around somewhere in your study room, so since I don't recall having bought it anytime soon or after I was required of it, that must be the old copy I used. xDD;;

Also, we never really had that limitation in the family. My parents trusted my judgement enough with the books I wanted to read. Sure, they'd skim through it to see if it was nice and all, but never more than that. xDD;; Besides, it wasn't like I was interested in anything too "mature" or erotic or whatever at the time. ^^;; I actually have to thank them for that, since it helped develop my use of language at an early age, and exposed me to deeper words during the same time as well. =) <3<3

Darcy's first proposal. xDD;; <3<3
I love the wit in this story, seriously. XP
Aww, too bad we won't get to read Emma then. Maybe I'll give it a go once I finish with the rest of this subject's required readings (mainly the Bronte sisters and other select poetry from a variety of authors). =)

Haha right :3

Ohhh - I gotcha now haha
That's why I was confused as to why no one told you it wasn't what you were thinking :3

Yeahh - it was a general policy and she didn't want to get in trouble with her higher up by letting me be an exception of sorts lol
Buut - then she just said the hell with it 'cause she was tired of checking in my books left and right and having to put them all away XD;
And the books I wanted to read were things like The Boxcar Children -- just longer chapter books LOL
It was all appropriate -- just longer than the big worded chapter books lol
-had been reading since I was 3 and was reading bigger books at home, just couldn't get them from the library for awhile LOL-

Awwww - I loveee that scene so much xD;
Elizabeth is so feisty and sassy with her retorts, and Darcy is so damn honestly dumb -- it's so cute xD <3

Aww :(
Hopefully you can read it soon!
If not, watch the movie of it that has Gwyneth Paltrow in it :3 Emma (1996) - IMDb
Either that, or watch the BBC TV Series that was released semi-recently~ Emma (TV mini-series 2009) - IMDb
Both are amazingggg <3

Yeah. If only I had known though, haha. xDD;; But hey, at least I have an almost untouched copy of Animal Farm for future reading (again), right? XP <3<3

And ohh, I see~ =O I never was much of a book borrower, since the library at school wasn't very extensive at all. :x I'm just lucky my parents supported my desire for books when I was a kid. xDD;; That, or I made my brother say that he wanted to buy a book, and then they would buy the book for him instantly because he's not much of a reader and they really wanted to cultivate that love for reading in him, haha. xDD;;

Yes, they're both very cute! xDD;;
We watched the black and white version of Pride and Prejudice recently, and even though the actress of Elizabeth looked a little too old to play the part, she and Darcy's actor did a good job with that scene, haha. 8DD;; <3<3

And ohh, I'll check those out when I have the time then. :'> <3<3

Hahaha hai hai! <3

LOL funnyyyy about the brother thing~
And my parents bought me books all the time too :3
For Christmas one year I got a trunkload of books haha
Although, they were more-so books my Mom was interested in XD;
-we have VERY different tastes-
She thought I might like them, though, but really she just read them :P

Our library wasn't too bad, though~
Not the greatest, but anything I wanted to read my Aunt would put it on the buying list and would get it for me XD <3
-loved having a family member in the library-
That, or she'd call another library and loan it from them for me :3
I mean, she didn't do it just for me, but it was still nice -- ya know?

Haven't seen that one haha
I've only see the Keira Knightley version :3 Pride & Prejudice (2005) - IMDb
Sooo amazing <3

:D <3<3
You won't be disappointed <3
Both have amazing takes on the book and are very accurate :3

Yeah~ xDD;; He's my easy way of getting the books I want when I've bought too much. My parents will buy me books, but they won't always say yes now, after all. 8DD;; Although, he's been doing his own reading recently, especially after we got him into Harry Potter. He has a penchant for books with a deep philosophical aspect to them, so we can share that in common. =) Other than that, our taste in books slightly differ. xDD;; He loves books about war and overall plight, while I'd rather delve into people-oriented or character-centric books, if you know what I mean. ^^;;

LOLZ, lucky you then! xDD;; Yeah, that was really kind of her indeed. :'> <3<3

Yeah, I watched that one as well. I like that movie as well! I may not be the biggest fan of Keira Knightely, but I did she did a wonderful job playing feisty Elizabeth. xDD;; <3<3 We watched the older version of the movie or class. =) We didn't get to finish it though. :'< We ran out of time. ^^;;

And I see~ Awesome then! :'>

Hahaha I know what you mean :3
My brother doesn't read at all, so I don't even have that option :(
Aaand, since I have roughly 96 books that I have yet to read sitting on my bookcase, Mom won't buy me any more books :gonk:
Plus, I don't have room anyways :(
-is living in basically my bedroom, when I really need a studio apartment-
It sucks, but I can't afford a place of my own, so I don't really have any other room to put my stuff other than my bedroom :(
Buuut - I'm saving to build an addition to the house so hopefully I'll have that as an apartment. If that doesn't work out, though, I don't know what I'll do :/
I need my own place though :gonk:

Hai hai!

Haha I loveee Keira Knightley <3
One of my absolute favorite actresses :3 <3

Oohhh - that sucks you couldn't finish it!!
You're not going to continue it next class or anything??
That's just ridiculous to start it and never finish it :(
Such a waste!

Hai hai! <3

Oh wow, that's a lot of books. @_@;; My stack of unread books has about twenty or so books, and I thought I was bad. xDD;; I think I shall start with the Hunger Games series though. People seem to be raving about it, and while I don't fully believe all the hype it's definitely got me interested. xDD;;

Ohh, I see. :x Isn't there any temporary room in the house for your books though?
I wish you luck saving up for that spare room then! =O If not a full-fledged apartment, at least. ^^;;

Her voice is really nice, I think. xDD;; I like listening to her, for some odd reason. XP

Nope, since we don't have a lot of time right now. >.<;; I may just download the movie for myself or something and watch the rest at home without interruptions, haha. xDD;;

Hahaha never heard of it!

Yeahh, my eyes got worse and so I just stopped reading all together :(
I wish I hadn't stopped, but nothing I can do about it now XD;

No xD;
There's no room in the house for me to TAKE an extra room~
Therefore, I need to build an apartment upstairs if possible~
(we don't have an upstairs)
On paper, the house looked like it would be big enough. I tried telling my parents 6 years ago when they started building it, that it wasn't big enough. And look who was right :P

As for an apartment, I can't get one until I'm out of college at the earliest~
My college doesn't allow it because it's a live-on-campus thing haha
And I wouldn't trust my apartment to go unattended for a few days at a time :P

Hahaha what an odd thing~
You don't like her that much, but you like her voice~
I know what you mean, though -- her voice just has that quality to it that draws you to her and makes you listen :3

Hahaha That would totally annoy me -- but I've done the same thing before :3
We started watching The Black Stallion in Psychology because it has a lot of psychology throughout the movie~
We only watched bits and pieces, which annoyed me, so I wrote it down to rent and watch :3
I haven't had the chance, yet, but I hope to over break hahaha

You should check it out. They say it starts off a tad slow, but the story is very engaging once you start getting deeper into the story. :'> Then again, these are just the opinions of my friends and other people who've told me about it, so I can't say for certain they're right. xDD;; I'd like to think my friends have taste though, so I'll trust them on this one. =) <3<3

My eyes are a little bad now, but that won't stop me from reading now! 8DD;; Lulz. xDD;;

Lolz. XP Maybe you need to invest in storage-saving compartments or something. xDD;; We have a ton of those at home, so it helps keep things nice and tidy, even if in reality we have more stuff than the house can hold. @_@;;

And I see~ =O Well, that makes sense. :'> I actually don't plan on moving out of my house until I get married or something. xDD;; Then again, it's the normal culture over here, so that could just be our way of doing things. ^^;;

I never said I didn't like her, you know. XP I just said she wasn't my favorite actress. xDD;; <3<3

I never heard of that movie~ =O But since it's about Psychology, I'm very interested. What's it about? ^^

Hahaha let me know what you think when you've finished? :) <3
By then I might be able to try it out :3

Hahaha I wish it didn't stop me from reading :(
But I'd rather focus on art, than deteriorate it through reading small print :3
Soooo until I can see if a Kindle will work for me, then I can't read for quite awhile :(

I have book cases and such, hun - that's not the problem. The problem is, I have what would go into an apartment, stuffed into the master bedroom of the house, which is the bedroom I've had since we moved in here ^_^;;

Hahaha It's more the room factor~
I don't really want to move out, I just need more space and my own space, ya know?
I can't stand living in such a cramped space. I need a bigger closet/dresser, but I can't because there's just simply not enough room, so I have a basket full of clothes and my hang up clothes are stuffed together.
It's just frustrating :(

xD;
It was sort of implied when you said you weren't the biggest fan of her :P
That's usually taken to mean you don't particularly like her ;)

It's not really a Psychology movie, it's a children's move about a boy and a horse being stranded on an island, then somehow getting off xD;
We didn't watch much of it, so I honestly can't say much more than that xD;;
