Third day of my tonsillectomy recovery and it hurts like nothing else, plus I've managed to catch a cold or maybe even the flu, yay! My uvula is so swollen that breathing actually is difficult, lol.


My name is Stormlick and I’m 21 (soon 22, the 26th of august is my birthday). I chose the name Stormlick because I recently read some books of Stephen Hunt’s. In his Universe, there’s a metal God named Stormlick(I think! He's only mentioned like once or twice), hah. The name resonates with me because whenever there were storms when I was a child, my uncle would put me in one of those baby carriage things on his back, and walk outside with me, and I’d love it! A good storm will make me feel awesome for days. I guess that’s just how it is with us children of nature.

I am a newbie! I just joined after sitting around on Tektek.org and noticing the ad on there. I’ve been a lurker in Gaia since ’03, but recently I’m fed up with the stuff going on there, there’s just so many things I don’t understand, and it’s making me tired. Since I’m a student, I can’t really afford to spend real money, though I do support the site when I can. I no longer feel any gratitude from Gaia, considering the contributions I’ve made, and am rather upset about it. Anyways!

I am glad I found Mene! Initially it seemed a bit strict, but now that I’ve gotten used to it, I feel quite comfortable with how things are done. There are still some things I’m figuring out, but people are ready to help and that is good.

The Quest

My favourite colours are green (all shades), rusty brown and cream, so I'm questing items in those three colours, mainly. Gold is a really nice accessory colour, I think, to go with that theme. (: Since I'm using mac, the MAC (Mene Avatar Creator) works kind of shabbily for me, so I'm not able to present a dream avatar! I also wish I knew how to make it fancy with graphics and stuff, but I am not very adept at that kind of thing.
