For the month of February, we have taken to traveling The Chain again in search of interesting goods to enchant and awe you. From the deep dark mines of Dainae, we bring you the Dark Crystal and from the high cold mountains of Vile, we bring you Obakemono. But remember that February is a short month - so don't leave purchasing until the last minute!

Dark Crystal
It is deep in the dark, twisty, ancient mines of Dainae that you will find huge caverns of Dark Crystal - carefully cultivated with centuries of practice and magic. Artisans above toil to shape these Dark Crystals into pleasing and useful shapes - and the magic inherent to their forms produces interesting results, from talking statues to grandiose floating crystalline wings that even the Empress herself delights in wearing to make an impression.

The Dark Crystal Contribution Item contains the following items in three colors (Ardent Green, Bitter Blue, and the rare Boreal Blue-Violet): Dark Crystal anklets, ankle-wings, ear-piece, head-piece, collar, and wings. The three-types of uncut Dark Crystal flooring have also been shipped with each order - something that mages seem to find very useful in powering their spells.

Obakemono
High in the mountains of Vile this time of year, the wind cuts like a knife - and far more cruelly than those wielded by the clans who live there. It is the time of the year, the clans say, that the obakemono get bored and like to cause mischief for those kept from their normal duties outside the homes and businesses of the clans. These "changing things" can look like normal every-day objects - but shift to something spookier or even frightening when they wish.

Vile was happy to ship away some of the proven obakemono they had laying around in return for a quieter winter. Each Obakemono Contribution Item includes: an ittan-momen (a possessed bit of ribbon), a katsura-obake (a haunted wig), blue or misty onibi (will'o'wisps), regular lanterns and chōchinobake (100 year old lanterns), and a ghostly smoke or mist that lurks around the ankles.

To obtain Obakemono and Dark Crystal Contribution Items, you will first need to purchase some Mennies using either PayPal, credit card, SMS/text, or by sending an order via snail mail. Once you have your Mennies, take a trip over to our CI Shop and trade your Mennies for the items you would like! If gold is your only option, take a trip to the Exchange forum. Whichever method of grabbing these items, you'll want to hurry before these items leave the CI Shop forever on February 28th!

The dark and spooky pixel work was accomplished by the ever-talented wish04. The awesome Contribution Item artwork was created by Omi.

Facade bby, we're soul mates, the purdy couch was the first thing I noticed, too.

Fantastic work, Wish and Omi! I can't wait to use these items.

it doesn't make your butt look fat, but it does make your head look freakishly small
