I totally recognize that this is a PG-13 site, but I'm just looking for someone to talk to outside of Menewsha about a site (it's a webcomic) that is more mature than PG-13. Can I ask people on Menewsha if they know about the site as long as I make clear that I only want to talk to those who are of age?
I want to keep it clean, but I wanna know if other people share my interests.

I am not staff, so I'm unsure of the answer to your question. However, I'd like to express that even if you make it clear that the content is for adult eyes only, many young people are curious and will probably look anyway. Perhaps if you inquired about it with others, and then moved the discussion to private message or another site...

Yeah, I was planning on moving it to a private site, but I would have specified in the post that it was only for older people, rather than in the subject heading. Otherwise it would grab even more unwanted attention ^^;

The post would have been kind of alone the lines of: Hey, do you know about such and such, if you do, I'd like to talk about it. :3

Moving it to private message or another site would probably be best, rather than in a thread. Young people will be curious, others just don't care to pay attention to the warnings about explicit/adult content ahead. And since this site is PG-13 (as you already know of course), it's probably best to do what I mentioned before. No harm in creating a thread asking other interested people of Menewsha if they'd like to discuss it elsewhere. Though I don't even know what this webcomic is or about. But anyway, that's just my opinion, respectively. Hopefully someone on staff will give you the correct response you're looking for. Good luck!

If you were to make a new thread to discuss the comic, we'd ask that you post a warning in the thread topic to say that the thread may contain mature discussions and isn't for those under-aged.

If you were discussing this sort of thing in another thread (for example, a Menewsha Nations thread), it would be courtesy to post anything too questionable under a spoiler or give warning that those who just stumble upon the thread that you're discussing a mature topic. But it's not actually required.

The PG-13 blanket mostly applies to what is allowed to be linked to, embedded (in the case of video or pictures), and role-played/done over PMs. Discussions can be mature as long as they are properly labeled in the case of discussion threads about the subject or not spammed in other threads.

Of course, there is some discretion involved on the part of the staff. I don't think we'd allow a thread about what your favorite porn site is, for example. But discussion about a mature webcomic should be fine.
