[SIZE="1"]There was a moment of silence. “….Onee-san…” Kari said stammering a bit. Yui nodded her head. “No! You’re lying! I never had a sister!” Kari was in denial. Since her parents died she had no one, except Yumi. So of course she was taking this a little roughly. She thought to herself. “Why...why now, of all times….” She was still in partial denial. She really couldn’t handle it, so she just ran off. She decided to go to the park and try to cope with all that just happened. As she was running off her eyes were filled with tears, and she was so confused. Just then she bumped into Rio. She didn’t notice it was him because she was still looking down in despair. But he knew It was her, and that she was crying. “Hey, what’s the matter?” he asked her in a gently tone. Immediately she could tell that it was Rio. She shook her head and quickly wiped her tears away, she didn’t want to bother him with her problems. Just then, he grabbed Kari by the hand, and started dragging her. He decided to go the café, since that’s where he went last time in hopes of cheering her up. She could tell where they were going and gave a small smile. At the corner of his eye, he saw her smile, and he smiled too. As they got there and sat down, the waitress came with the menus, Kari said she didn’t want anything, but he ordered dessert for the both of them anyways. She looked up at him while he was ordering, and for some strange reason she started to blush a little. She was really surprised. “Ehhhh. Could I be falling for him….” Kari thought to herself. He looked back at her and noticed that she was blushing, her cheeks were very pink. He gave a chuckle and smiled. After they were done eating they went down the park for a little walk. Kari wasn’t really paying attention to where she was going while they were walking because she was just following Rio. Just then she bumped into his back. She looked up at him. “Ahhh, I’m sorry. I guess I wasn’t paying attention.” She apologized. For some reason he didn’t respond at all. She just stared at his backside, because he hadn’t even turned around. Just then he did, he quickly turned around and grabbed Kari by the shoulders, and kissed her. She was caught off-guard. She didn’t respond at first, but then she quickly pushed him off. She held her hand to her mouth covering it. She was blushing immensely and her eyes were filled with tears. Then she ran off towards home. She’d never been more confused.[/SIZE][/FONT][/COLOR][/CENTER]

Hirouku quickly ran to her side, he knelt down and lifted her head up a little, and softly shook her trying to wake her. "Kari! Kari!" he constantly said while slightly shaking her. After a few moments, she still hadn't woken up, so he quickly rushed her to the hospital. As soon as he got there Hirouku had made a phone call to Yumi-san and Rio-kun. And they both quickly rushed over as soon as they could. Shortly after he called, Rio-kun got to the hospital. Right after he got there, the Doctor had stepped into the room, he looked at both guys, and asked them where her parents are, just then Yumi-san had arrived "Ahh. Here I am!" she answered panting. "wh-what h-happened to my da-daughter?" she rushingly asked, still short of breath. He waited a moment before he spoke. The three of them stood there in anticipation waiting for his answer. "Apparently, you're daughter, has suffered minor memory loss, due to tremendous stress, I suggest she spend the night so she can have a better recovery." "Alright then..." Yumi replied to him, still in a little shock. "Mm. come on auntie, I’ll take you home." Hirouku said walking Yumi-san out. The next day Kari was able to go to school, so Hirouku and Rio had went to the Hospital to go pick her up. When they got there, she was getting her stuff prepared. She turned around and noticed them. But she had a confused look on her face, because she hadn't remembered who they were. "Ahhhh...excuse me, but who are you..?" she asked both of them confusingly. Both their faces had saddened because she hadn't remembered them, though they did expect it. They didn't answer her, but instead they told her they were to take her to school. Feeling a little awkward, she agreed. And the three of them headed for school. Just as they got there the bell had rang and they quickly ran to class. When they got into class everyone was staring at her. Somehow they all found out about what had happened to her. She felt even more awkward as they all stared at her. The day felt really long, and everything was so confusing for her. The next day, she had lay in bed all day thinking about the previous day. She was still ever-so confused about everything. Just then the doorbell had rang, she didn't seem to hear it because she was still deep in thought. Soon after Yumi-san was calling her to come down. But she still hadn't heard anything because she was still deeply in thought. Just then Yumi-san screamed at the top of her lungs "KARI-CHAN!!" just then Kari had jumped out of her bed as she heard her mothers loud scream. She rushed down stairs. And as soon as she came down she noticed a tall, very beautiful, blonde-haired girl at her door step. As soon as she seen her, a sudden feeling as if she'd known her before came upon Kari. "Ahh. Kari Chan! There you are, ohh, I’m sorry, let me introduce myself, I'm Yui." she said politely. "Mmm. I was wondering...do you think we could go for walk and have a chat about something?" she hesitantly had asked Kari. "Ahh. sure." she replied. Kari looked back at Yumi-san, and knowingly she nodded at Kari. And they walked out the door. A few blocks down almost near the park, they stopped. Yui-san looks intensely at her, and suddenly asked her if she had remembered her at all. She shook her head and told her about her memory loss. "Ahh. I see. Well, would you like to know?" she asked Kari with a grin on her face. She was a little hesitant but nodded. Just then Yui had jumped in front of Kari, tilted her head slightly to the side, and whispered in her ear.[/FONT][/COLOR][/CENTER][/SIZE]

[SIZE="1"]Later on outside, Rio was headed over to accompany Hirouku. but then he bumped into Yuki. He quickly stopped her. "Yuki!" he fiercely yelled. "Where's Kari Chan....?" he asked. There was a long pause, she glared at him. "How the hell am I supposed to know? I left way before she did, for all I care, she could still be inside." she replied rudely. Just then he ran back into the building and searched around for Kari. He turned the corner to where their homeroom was, and found her slumped on the floor. He quickly ran to her side. "Kari Chan...." he said softly. She looked up, her eyes swollen from all the crying she did. Rio-kun looked down at her, and lifted his hand and wiped her tears away. "It's okay Kari Chan, I'm here." he said in a soft tone, about to hug her. She hadn't realized it was Rio-kun, and mistaken him for Hirouku-kun, and hugged him, tightly. Though she didn't say anything to him. He patted her on the head, and helped her up. "Come on, let's head back outside." she nodded, still sobbing a little. He had his arm around her shoulder when as they were walking outside. As they were walking. Rio-kun had accidentally nudged someone. He quickly turned around to apologize, "Ahh...I'm s--" as he was about to finish, he quickly noticed who it was, "H-Hikari-chan........" he stammered, and there was a long pause.”Ah. Rio-sama, long time no see, ne?" she said cheerfully. "WH-What're you doing here....?" she didn't answer him; she just smiled and then slowly walked away. Hirouku came up to them just as the bell rang. As they were about to head back to class, Hirouku stopped them. He intensely glared at Rio. He could tell what was about to happened. He sighed. "If you want to know what's up, just asks Yuki-chan." he calmly replied and walked away with Kari. Later on that day Kari and Hirouku had a Student Council Meeting again. She was slightly okay now, but she still didn't bother to tell Hirouku what had happened between her and Yuki. After the meeting had ended and they were about to leave, Kari realized she had forgotten something inside the room, "I'll wait for you here." Hirou-kun said, and stood at the side of the door. She nodded and headed inside. Little did they both know that Yuki-chan was still inside? As Kari walked in she noticed her standing by the window, as if she was waiting for someone. She heard someone walk into the room and quickly turned around. "Ah, Senpai it's you." Yuki said with a smirk on her face. Kari was worried to be around Yuki-chan, because of what had happened at lunch. "Hmp. Do you remember what I told you at lunch, senpai..?" Yuki asked her with a fierce tone. Kari was speechless at her actions. When Kari didn't answer her, Yuki stepped closer and closer to Kari, trying to intimidate her. She again, asked Kari the same question she had at lunch, but her tone was even fiercer than before, and again Kari didn't answer her, little did she know Hirouku was just outside the door. She got furious and raised her hand to Kari, and was about to slap her. Just then Hirouku can through the door and immediately grabbed Yuuki’s wrists and glared immensely at her. "Ahh...h-h..." she could barely speak, due to the shock of Hirouku appearing. Tears fell upon Kari's face. Hirouku quickly went to her side, and tried to comfort her. Just then Kari fainted! Hirouku didn't know what to do. He was loosing the only family and his closest friend, he felt so unwanted, and at the very moment... 'Suicide!' popped in his head. "If I’m not needed anymore, I should just die rite?" he thought coldly to himself. Then out of his schoolbag, he took out his utility knife, he lowered in his wrists, he tried to make the gashes as deep as possible. The Next morning as Kari was about to leave for school, the phone suddenly rang, it was Toushi, he had told her what'd happened to Hirouku, she rushed to the hospital as fast as she could. When she got there he was still unconscious. "I'm glad your here" Toushi said with relief. "We found him just in time last night; luckily the gashes weren't too deep." Afterwards, Kari’s face saddened. She sat into a chair next to him, then clutched his hand tight, and leaned against him. Just then he slowly opened his eyes, and looked down at Kari and smiled with relief.
The very Next day at school, everyone noticed the bandages around Hirouku wrists, especially yuki-chan. She quickly ran over to him, well aware Kari was right next to him, and shoved her aside. "OMG! Are you okay?!" he just stared at her, then brushed her off and walked away. Kari ran after him as he left. Then clung to his arm as the two were walking to class, then they ran into Rio. "EHHH?? What happened to you??!" Rio suddenly burst out noticing the wrist bandages. "Ahh...i'll tell you later rio-kun, now's not a really good time, Kay?" Kari said hesitantly. "Ne, ne, Hirouku-kun, are you sure you’re feeling okay?" Kari asked him practically brushing away Rio. But she really was worried about him. Then as they walked into class, to their surprise, Kanna-sensei wasn't there, though Hirouku didn't seem to mind. All period long everyone was whispering about Hirouku. Later on at lunch Kari went to go find Rio-kun.
As she turned the hallway she noticed Rio-kun talking with yuki-chan! She couldn't hear their conversation of course, but as yuki-chan was leaving, she popped out, "Heeyyyyyy! RIOOOOOO-kUNNNN!" she said smiling. "Ah! Kari Chan, so? Can I hear about what happened to Hirouku now?" he said bluntly. "Well...ummm...he...sortaa...slit his wrists yesterday night...well that's what I heard from toushi-san" she said stammering. "NANI!?!?" he said in such shock. "Well I should get going, after all it is lunch" Kari said walking off. Rio follow after her, "Mind if I join you, I brought ramen" he said. "Ahh...suree...” she said. As they were walking to the courtyard student thoughts of the day before popped into Kari’s head. "Omg...h-he loves me..." she thought to herself. Now thinking about it made it feel awkward walking next to him. Then as they were walking they ran into yuki-chan again. "Ah! Yuki-chan, Konichiwa!" Kari said. "Ah...konichiwa, Kari-senpai" then he turned to rio, "May I speak with senpai alone for a second?" then he looked at her and nodded and walked away. "Ne, yuki-chan, what did you need to talk about?" she said. Yuki glared at her. Then Kari stepped back a little as yuki was about to talk. "Dammit, you little bitch, stay away from Hirouku-kun!!!!" she said furiously at her. "n-nani....." she said trembling in shock. "You know you heard me! Stay away from him! All you do his hurt him!" She said glaring furiously at her. Kari, in such shock just stood there, and then when she actually thought about it...she actually
Believed what she'd said to her. Yuki, a little satisfied just walked away. Kari slumped to his floor about to cry.[/FONT][/COLOR][/CENTER][/SIZE]

[CENTER][COLOR="Green"][FONT="Arial"][SIZE="4"]Chapter 6: Rio’s Confession [/SIZE]



[SIZE="1"]Kari was still worried about Hirouku the next day at school, but then she got even more worried when he didn’t even show up. Neither did kanna-senei. Even though she showed up for school early as usual, hoping Hirouku would show, she slowly walked to class as the bell rang. She was practically distressed all day. And Rio could tell. And since they had a sub in homeroom, Rio went over to sit next to Kari. "Hey, what's up? You don’t look so good today." she didn’t respond him, and he got even more worried. Then it was lunch, and Kari headed over to the back of the campus, and up into tree to collect her thoughts. Rio quietly followed her to see what was up. ~sigh~ "Geez, Hirouku, why didn’t you come today...." she mumbled to herself. Though lucky enough, Rio had caught what she said. Now he had an angry, almost jelous-like expression on his face. As he watched Kari quietly he thought to himself. "I wonder if I---" but before he could finish his thoughts the bell had rang.
Later on after school, Kari had to stay a little while to help out the student council. She slowly glimpsed at yuki-chan as she shuffled through papers. The suddenly out of nowhere. [[most likely just the lack of noise]] Kari burst out. "Yuki-chan do---" but before she could even finish talking yuki just walked out of the classroom. On her way out she had noticed Rio waiting outside, she gave him a cold stare and whispered "Keep Kari-senpai away from Hirouku-kun, understand?" was all she said and just walked away. He quickly turned around to confront her.. But she suddenly disappears. just then Kari stepped out of the classroom. Kari stared at him and asked him what he was doing here so late. Without answering he quickly grabbed her and pulled her into a hug. Then he burst out "I-I l-love you!" She instantly blushed. But then suddenly she thought about what happened with Hirouku yesterday, she was so confused. Then she pushed him off, then mumbled "I-i’m sorry...” and ran off!
Without realizing it, she'd run right passed Hirouku. Quickly realizing she was crying, he grabbed her before she was able to run too far off. "What’s the matter?" he asked with a worried look on his face. Without saying anything she ran up to him clenching his shirt, and started to cry even more. Not knowing what to do or say, he just stood there and held her till she had stopped crying! Then when she did finally stopped crying completely, out of utter curiosity, Hirouku then again asked her what had happened. "Rio said....said...he...he...l-liked...me" she muttered. She looked like she was about to start crying again. Hirouku just stood there in utter shock.[/FONT][/COLOR][/CENTER][/SIZE]
