The few seconds of silence felt a lot longer to Adam than it probably should have. Adam stared at Trey for a while, hoping to find the answers in the young man's body language. The silence felt like to stretched over minutes, Adam was so sucked in by the stillness he nearly jumped when Trey spoke.

Ah yes, Paris is a big city. But to think of all the fresh blood they could get there! Adam wished he could convince Trey that it would be alright in Paris, that things will be better for him and they will have more to do. Instead, Adam just turned his gaze to the water beneath the boat. "We do not have to stay in Paris." Adam admitted. Adam was only going to Paris until the people in Calais forgot he existed. Taking a private transport boat and paying off the captain would ensure that his name would become completely forgotten in Calais give or taken a decade or two.

"We don't stay in one place for too long, anyway." Adam decided he didn't want to say much more on the subject, he picked up his violin from its case and began to play once more. Out of nervous habit, yes, but because he didn't like the air to have dead space in it. Air needed to be filled with something, and what better than music?
