"Oh, so he does have manners," she mocked at his thanks as she helped him to his feet. He moved to find and clean the weapons, and Sophie moved as far away from the body as she could. Sure, she'd seen some death and gore in her travels, but that didn't make it any easier to see each time, and she certainly didn't like it.

She had moved across the room, away from the body and away from the door, also sliding down the wall onto the floor. They were both exhausted, and they would both need rest. Sohpie would need much less time to open a portal than twelve hours, but she'd probably sleep that long anyway. It had been a trying day.

What was Ayashe doing right now, she wondered. Did she miss her? Was she worried? Sophie never really stayed gone for too long, and when she did it was because she was in trouble. How would her feline friend fare if Sophie never returned? Would she guard Sophie's home and treasures for the rest of eternity?

Sophie was brought out of her thoughts when the sunburned wonder began digging in his pack. He pulled out a canteen and offered it to Sophie. She hesitated for a moment, but realized she was actually incredibly parched. She scooted closer to him and took the canteen.

She was sure to leave water in there for him, though she contemplated not. She handed it back to him. "Well, you're the nicest kidnapper I've ever met," she said, half jokingly, thinking of his sudden manners. At least he hadn't tired to cuff her to anything again.

Sophie rubbed at that wrist that had been cuffed without realizing she was even doing it. It didn't really hurt, she was merely thinking of the feeling of it was all. Her fingers rubbed over the tattoo and around the flesh of her wrist and she leaned against the wall beside the kindly kidnapper.
