He likes a warm meal. Cold makes him upset and cranky I have noticed. :/ SO making burritos I thought would be a na easy way to do it.

Have any of you ever tried baking your eggs instead of boiling them? I caught a small note about it--something relative to Alton Brown--and it said that if you bake eggs on the oven rack at 325° for thirty minutes, they come out better than just hard-boiling them. The whites are supposed to be creamier.
That's interesting! Definitely need to try that out!

St Patrick's Day feast went well. Aside from my cake overflowing in the pan.
Jalepeno cornbread and those cookies are the next on the list!

I usually do too. At least, to start. I can't handle really greasy or lots of food in the morning. I drink this green smoothie type drink to kind of get my morning started. I've been having a bowl of cereal with a banana lately. Fruit~

I'm a keen baker/cooker so I might as well share some recipes here:

Chocolate Chip donuts (using a doghnut machine):

You will need:
1 and a half cups of flour
Half a cup of caster sugar
1 and a half teaspoons of baking powder
125g butter
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
As many choc chips as you want

1. Preheat doughnut machine
2. Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl
3. Make a well in the centre
4. Whisk in the butter, milk and egg. Add choco chips until mixture forms a smooth batter.
5. Spray machine with cooking oil.
6. Scoop the mixture into the preheated doughnut rings close the lid and let them cook for 6 minutes or until doughnuts are golden brown and cooked.

Hope you enjoy your'e doughnuts!!!

Iku you must come and carter my wedding. D:
IT HAS BEEN DECIDED

ALSO those donuts sounds awesome.
If you don't have a donut machine will hot oil work as well in a deep sauce pan?

Thanks for posting your recipe. It sounds good.
I need to see if I can find my doughnut cooker. I had one a long time, but I haven't used it in a long time.

@Cherry: Oh nono, it's a brand I buy. XD I don't have the patience or blender capacity to make them myself. But! I did come across this smoothie a few months ago that I didn't find too bad.
In Erika's Kitchen: Green smoothies for breakfast

I skipped the dandelion greens since I couldn't find those and instead of 2 cups of kale, I did 1 cup of kale and 1 cup of spinach. Was fine, to me.

@Sere: What what?! :gonk:

Oh drat, bananas. I think I'm allergic to bananas. :gonk: That sounds good, though! I'll see if I can adjust it a bit. Maybe if I cut up all the stuff ahead of time, then I can just plop it in the blender and go in the morning. Because I won't feel like doing all that first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

Definitely. XDD That makes 4 servings; so she just freezes the other 3 and sets one out the night before to thaw.
But eep, allergic to bananas! D:

I'm not 100% sure that I'm allergic to bananas. I've had them only a few times over the page ~7 years or so, and whenever I do, they make my mouth itchy. It's not the worst allergic reaction ever, there's no swelling or something, but they say that when someone has one of those catastrophic reactions to something, they had usually had at least a mild reaction before. I'd rather not go into anaphylactic shock over a banana, so I don't risk it. It's not a big pain in the ass to me, though. I was never a huge lover of bananas to begin with. I prefer crisp fruits like apples, grapes and pears.

Ah. Yeah, I'd avoid stuff too if it gave me a mild reaction. Or would I... :ninja: Sure there's a few foods I've had that have made me feel funny. I just try again some months later. :XD
But ah well~ Banana for that recipe is more used as a thickener, I suspect.

@Cherry: Oooh, that would make it more creamy too! It was pretty thick and a bit chunky (like small chunks, but not small enough to not know what one ingredient is).

@Sere: But but.. D;

That might be down to the efficiency of your blender, though. Not that mine is all that great. When I make smoothies, it takes me forever to get all the fruit chunks blended. But I love my smoothies thick, creamy, and full of dairy. That with a berry mix is just heaven.

I have my own grinding mill so I was making all this rice flour.

3 parts brown rice flour (I use Bob’s Red Mill)
3 parts corn starch
2 parts soy flour, sorghum flour or garfava flour
1 part masa harina

I got the recipe from here.
Starting to think I didn't make the flour fine enough. I tried to make bread and it just won't rise. When I baked it, it was so flat.
