Oh my god, that would absolutely drive me insane. I feel so bad for you, awful neighbors are the worst.

Well, I hope they move!

they just put in a sunroof and then re-roofed their roof.
i think they are there for life.
it is sad because the neighborhood is really a nice one,
except for them.

Hummy: You could make a complaint on them too. :/ we had people like that, my mother had some really pretty white and red roses in the corner of our lawn in our old house. This guy would walk his dog everyday same time and let his dog pee on the bushes. Which ended up killing them >_> So whenever the dog would crap in our yard, my mom would pick it up, and put it back in theirs *loll* They stopped after a while, after the guy came up to my mother and yelled at her for it.

yeah, i know i could, but i try to keep things peaceful in my life.
i don't want to add any stress to anyone, especially the police.
they have a hard enough job without putting up with domestic crap.

yeah, I tend to be on at wacky and inconsistent times so I can't be relied on to entertain anybody in any threat. I'm a glad menewshan.

hummy - the police are there for a reason and domestic "crap" is part of it. :)

----------

If they are being noisy at all hours and making a mess of your lawn/damaging your door etc then you have -every right- to call the police if talking to them doesn't fix it.

awful neighbors, just awful!
you need to call the cops the instant you see her going into someone's garage again! and that kid needs to be kicked, not that you can, but you know what I mean.

It's really tough when you have bad neighbors.

For awhile, we had to put up with teens vandalizing stuff.
They finally grew up and moved away...

We're kind of the "old" ones in the neighborhood.
We've been here longer than anybody else.

you know, it's times like that where it is a good investment to go buy a camera. even one of those pay and toss ones. just make sure the photos that come out are as clear as possible so you can just hand them over to the police.

You can even try setting up a cheap camera as a pseudo security cam.

you know what? I just realized someone had lied to me 5 months ago!!!

To set the scene for the day the incident happened:

It was in the mid-afternoon. I was sitting on the grass with 2 friends, my kid, their kids, and a couple neighbor kids (all under the age of 7 ((except my kid who was 10))). We were sitting in the lawn in front of apartment 24. well, my "friend's" 2 year old son (mind you, she lives down in apartment 17 and was in her apartment on the computer the whole time) kept going around and hitting the other kids. a couple were his age and 1 was even younger. each time he did it the other kid that lived in #17 would tell him to stop when we looked over (she herself was about 9). finally, having hit the 1 year old hard enough he landed (thankfully) butt down on the cement I called him over to me.

he came over, no worries, he knew me, and I lifted my sunglasses off my face. I looked at him in a stern but friendly way and said to him, firm, not evil or anything, "now Aydon, we don't hit people. if I catch you doing it again I'm gonna have to walk you home. okay?"

and he smiled at me and said okay and went back to play. a few moments later I see the 9 year old grab him by the arm and drag him back home (5 apartments down). a few heartbeats later my "friend" comes racing out of her apartment and screams at me to never "put my hands" on her son again! I looked at her totally confused and a bit hurt and told her I didn't do that and she screamed back that she knew for a fact that I did. then she raced back into her apartment. I don't have to bother to tell you that I sat there and cried for a while after, I am a sap after all.

so the next morning here come the cops. they talked to her for almost an hour and then came over to me. I told them just what I told you guys and they said that nobody was in trouble and everything sounded reasonable and fine and they were just there to try and keep the peace and hoped the two of us would be able to work past it or something.

that all happened in early June. so, fast forward to last September (3 months after it all happened) and she told me that what she had been told by the 9 year old and what she had told the cops was that he was playing in front of my apartment (right beside her's) and came barreling out of my apartment and grabbed her kid by the arms and screamed into his face to shut up and I was trying to take a nap.

okay, if that were true and what she told the cops, how would that even track with a cop. you think they'd ask more questions than they did. truth is a big deal to me and that is why it hurt in June that she didn't believe me about not even touching her child. I don't know why, it doesn't matter anymore, but it does make me angry when somebody bald faced looked me in the eye months later when it didn't even matter and lie to me.

sorry, just had to vent that.

I mean, it should have dawned on me earlier. this is a chick that could create a lie and want me to go on with it so she wouldn't get in trouble for something and then after that believe it's the truth! weird chick.

some people can't take responsibility for what they do or say.
