Thats a cool idea. I will be a regular in your thread. I love to cook though not all my efforts turn out as they intend. Though I blame my cooker, it cooks too high so I have accidentally burnt a few pans. Though I tested our smoke detectors so its all good lol. I will psot some other recipes I like too. :D

Alright, here is my favorite and my family's favorite cookie recipe (you can tell because it's the most worn page in the book) Plus they are very easy to make and taste amazing

No Bake Cookies

Quote:
Ingredients
1 stick unsalted butter
2 cups Sugar
1/4 cup Coco
1/2 cup Milk
1/2 cup Peanut Butter
3 cups Oatmeal

Bring butter, sugar, coco, and milk to a boil.
Boil 2 minutes (stir constantly to avoid burning the mixture)
Take off heat
Add peanut butter and oatmeal
Mix
Drop by teaspoons onto wax paper
Let cool and set

They sound nice. What else could you use rather than peanut butter though? I don't like nuts very much. Can you taste it much?

I made these relaly nice things once. Melting Moments. They were lovely oat biscuits. Sadly I can't remember the recipe.

The peanut butter acts as the binding agent that holds the cookie together, so I'm not sure about a substitute. I do know that sugar alternatives screw it up and make the cookie crumble more easily and taste somewhat bitter :|
I made the chicken tagalitelle, it was really good. My family really enjoyed it, so thank you ^^

Slow Cooked Chicken and Rice
Quote:
Ingredients
2-3 pounds skinless chicken
2 cans cream of mushroom or golden mushroom soup
1 can of mushrooms
1 packet of onion soup mix
------
2 parts chicken broth or water to 1 part rice (depends on how many people being served and personal preference. however, keep the ratio the same for the best rice)

Place first four ingredients , in order, into crockpot/slow cooker
Cook 6-8 hours on low, or 3-4 on high, depending on freshness of chicken
Add rice and chicken broth or water, 30 minutes prior to serving
This is one of my favorite meals. When done right, the chicken just falls apart and the rice is warm and creamy

Oh feel free to play about the recipe. I'm curious as to how it'd turn out =3 and no worries about having a recipe or not. I watched a food network show and they talked about the recipe for KFC chicken. Apparently they mix the different spices at different locations so even people making it can't find out what the recipe is  They are very careful

I would definately give the no-bakes a try. they are heavenly once their cool enough that they hold their form, but still warm on the inside. Fresh no bakes and a tall glass of milk is amazing :)

Peach Cobbler [it's some family recipy not quite sure whose or how it got to mine but yeah]
Ingredients List
3 cups sugar [plus 1 cup for the top]
1 1/4 cup milk
3 medium sized cans of peaches [or ten decent sized fresh ones]
3 cups bisquick
1 stick margirine

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
In a 9X12[or13] pand melt the stick of butter
Drain peaches most of the way [leave about a cup of liquid]
[if usung fresh peaches you must skin and masurate them]
Mix together 3 cups of bisquick 3 cups sugar and milk
When butter is melted pour in mixture in pan
pour peaches into middle [they spread themselves out]
Sprinkle one cup sugar over top
depending on the oven it can take anywhere from 30 min- 1 1/2 hr
to know if it's done, pull out and if it is still very wobbly it isn't done, if it has some firmness it's done
Let cool for 15-20 minutes
and viola
Yeah, It's really something easier to show how to make than write down, but I figured I'd try my hand at it.
And for a twist you could use 8 meduim sized fresh peaches and a can of fried apples [or fry your own apples]
if you are using cans you can use like 2 medium cans of peaches and one can fried apples

I made the cake yesturday for the first time. I had made two cakes, first time was a trail and error. -.-' The second one turned out great. I was thinking of doing something special to it but I didn't get a chance. I made this up but I plan on trying this next part out.

I haven't had Peach Cobbler in ages I think a warm cobbler would be so nice and comforting right now ^^ I've never had fried apples. What are they like? Do they taste like apple chips? Or just a crunchy apple?

Woot for trial and error and successes. I think that would be lovely for Valentines if it was heart shaped, and the red color from the preserves and the white from the sugar would go nicely with the holiday, but it would be kind of subtle at the same time :3

Woot for more recipes. I wonder what I would categorize those under o.Q I think I had apricot jam once in a school cooking class, I'm not sure though. :/ That's really cool that you make your own jams, is it easy or hard to do? =3
